She sounds amazing on the french cd 10times better than on the english DVD the english are the same!!!

wow that's what i call Celine Dion!Her french songs are amazing!The french version is better!

 

I was expecting that all the time and im glad if it's that way. I love all, but i like french version more(already without having it yet)

That had to be the funniest part in the movie. I burst out in the theatres hahaha can't wait to watch it again. and again.

Hey everyone...wow well how 24 hours can change a few things lol...I have listened to the entire "boston" concert and I have to say...I was premature in some of my thoughts when I posted last night. So from hearing the entire audio..again I have not seen the actual show on dvd yet so I am going by audio only

 

As a whole...its pretty fantastic. A few vocal problems here and there from celine..she sometimes sounds vocally tired or sluggish on some parts...hard to explain..but overall its one of the best sounding official live recordings we have ever gotten. It DOES represent the tour alot better than I prematurely thought last night. I have learned not to make immediate assumptions based on hearing just a handful of songs..you gotta hear everything. The weakest songs vocally for me on this release are..IACBTMN..in certain parts only..a few minor rough spots on TLYM...shadow of love..not bad but some odd choices vocally..River Deep..not powerful, she sounds bored and tired and the high notes dont come as strong and powerful as I have heard before. Other than that its pretty fantastic and I am very very happy with the audio. DVD could be another thing but I will wait to see it in full before I review it. I have only seen like 2 clips from the dvd and I loved them. I will say that the audio could sound more LIVE with more audience and maybe even more echo on vocals and instruments. Once shesings all audience noise is completely gone until she is done. It seems A New Day DVD even had more audience noise during some songs. OH! The speech before taking chances is drastically cut..we get about 30-40 seconds of actual dialogue..she says she is happy to be in boston and in the US and then goes right into the song..no family adventure speech at all..thats really disappointing. I am really looking forward to hearing the montreal french songs. My note to everyone on the forum who hasnt heard or seen much of the concert...look forward to it! Be excited!! Its worth the excitement! We have the acapella intro in the documentary! We still have it in high quality atleast in that..so that makes up for the disappearance of it in the dvd and cd. Right, just heard both the Boston and Montreal CDs and got to say that they use the exact same track for the english songs on both CDs. Even on songs that she sung live such as Alone and RDMH. It pisses me off a bit. The could have at least kept them songs from the actual Montreal shows and not just used the Boston ones. It's a bit of a Joke if you ask me!

Like some people mentioned before, there are some mistakes in them and it just doesn't sound like the ''perfect'' versions they used all these years. All the playback songs sound like they were recorded in one take. It sounds live and raw... but hey that is just me...

Well, back when the original recordings were made Celine was a vocal freak. She would have sang all day long to make sure they were perfect. These days, not so much. They probably approached her and said we need to get you back in the studio to re-do some stuff, and I can't imagine she would have jumped at the chance, she has better things to do these days. So considering they maybe had her for a couple of hours to do a quick take of each one the results are pretty good....and it'll be why they sound so raw and live. Because they are! You can tell she never sang them multiple times to get them perfect. I'm betting she was played the original so she could match the timing, then she sang it, then they moved on to the next one, then she went home and did something more fun.

Is IDAN complete on TTEOTW or there are some talking scenes at the beginning or at the end??? Can anybody post who watched it?? And what about intro?? What? No, I'm pretty sure it is Celine. You can clearly hear that Celine tone we all know and love. The one on the Vegas DVD is definitely not her, but on this CD it is her.

Not yet. A few German online store have the DVD in Stock, but they not allowed to send it out.

hm.. haven't been here for a little while.. but there's a just a major discussion going on! Sunday I will get the new dvd and I will judge! I am glad there were people in this forum who made incredible bootlegs of the concerts. I am really curious how the dvd sounds!

Overall the majority of the people in here seem to be disappointed and when I read all of this I can understand why.

The audiocd of A new day sounded very nasal to me, I hope it is not with this dvd cd package..

And I think it is stupid that they cut the intro from IDAN because that's the part where the heart bounces and you are like... yeah she is coming !! the intro builds up the introduction of our star! And now they have cut it.. a shame..

And I can understand when you buy two different versions of dvds, in french and english and on both dvds songs are mixed.

There are some french songs on the French dvd, but also a lot of English ones, so you get a little portion of French songs and the rest is completely the same on the other dvd..

Well I am stil excited to have this dvd in my hands.. and I can only judge from what I see and hear. So will post my review later!
