Songs for the show

I'm not so sure whether we'll get to see Celine singing Whitney Houston's songs: even though it would sound amazing (greater than the original ones I suppose), a great singer would never sing another great singer song - especilly because they were competitors for some time. Celine wouldn't do it to Whitney.. all in all I believe it's a bit risky, "I'll always love you" is as Whitney' as "My heart will go on" is Celine's... and we do know how we'd hate if we heard of Houston singing the last one - it just wouldn't be ok.

 

Uh...that didn't stop Whitney from covering "I Will Always Love You" from Dolly Parton. ("I Will Always Love You" will always be Dolly's no matter who covers it.) I see nothing wrong with Céline covering songs such as "Run To You" or "I Have Nothing," so long as she does the songs justice.

At the moment we're compiling the fans' wishes for songs in the new show. We will then send this to Céline's team and let them know what we think and love to hear/see in the show!

 

If you want to join in, this is what you have to do:

 

Compile 2 Top 5's of songs you would like to hear/see in the show. The first Top 5 should be composed of Céline's own songs (previous soundtracks sung by Céline should also be put in this Top 5 and MHWGO is ommitted, as it's a given this song will definately be performed). The 2nd Top 5 is composed of (classic) movie soundtracks.

 

Also remember that the show will feature an orchestra...so what songs would fit this best?

After that, we will compile a Top 10 of each category and send it to Céline's team.

and i was thinking.. since she is going to be in Las vegas.. it'd be perhaps sorta cool to see her do an Elvis ballad medley (ex: Are you lonesome tonight, Can't Help falling in love, always on my mind).. but maybe an Elvis medley would be to corny..

It was offered to Celine first but she turned it down because she didnt want to be part of another movie so soon after Titanic

 

Dont want to miss a thing by Aerosmith was also proposed to Celine and turned down and The Reason was proposed to Aerosmith turned down by them and picked up by Celine

 

Also "I Surrender" was wanted by Mariah Carey" but it was proposed to Celine first and she loved it!

Hi, new informations coming from a Montreal radio station where Rene was interviewed for the release of the DVDs. He said that most of the songs are chosen, there is a deal with Warner Brothers to use music from over 8 000 movies and the best for the last... The show will use advance technology, they are looking to use 3D and holograms, Rene said they always have to be better than the previous show !

I would not be surprised if she did Will You Be There by Michael Jackson.She is a huge MJ fan it was in Free Willy and that is a Warner Brothers movie.I hope she does Beauty And the Beast. I have yet to see her sing that live as well as Thats The Way It Is.The 3d and hologram idea sounds cool.
