Davey84 Posted February 14, 2010 at 10:33 PM Posted February 14, 2010 at 10:33 PM (edited) I'd love to hear her sing ''There you'll be'' from Pear Harbour, I LOVE Faith Hill, but I can't stand TYB for some reason! I think a Barbra Medley is due too... I'd think this one would be awesome: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6E2Mooz_LA I won't even mind if the last note aint live :P Edited February 14, 2010 at 10:47 PM by Davey84 Quote http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/daveyh84/incognito198701_zpsaaootxh1.jpgRick, ik hou van jou voor altijd!A New Day... has come 28/29 April & 2/3 May 07Antwerpen 13 et 14 mai,Paris 24 et 25 mai, Amsterdam 2 juinet Arras 7 juillet Chances Taken!!!How Do You Keep The Music Playing? - Celine Opening Night March 15th, March 16th

mirage Posted February 15, 2010 at 09:47 AM Posted February 15, 2010 at 09:47 AM (edited) I think that orchestra version of her songs are great but for some songs it doesnt work if not arranged properly. TTWII at WCD, its missed a little bit more beat ;-) I'm afraid it will only contains sweet ballads, but only time will tell!!Would love to see these songs included: PrayerRight In Front Of YouWater From The MoonThen You Look At MeWhen You Tell Me That You Love Me Imagine Celine singing this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJCX-SETikY Edited February 15, 2010 at 09:57 AM by mirage Quote
celine4evauk Posted February 16, 2010 at 12:04 PM Posted February 16, 2010 at 12:04 PM I think having an orchestra is a brilliant idea. Something i've wanted for ages - and hopefully a show that will focus more on Celine's voice. Just cos she'll have an orchestra doesn't mean they'll be playing all instruments on all songs. Some songs (i would think) will be mainly Celine's band and perhaps adding a section or 2 of the orchestra. So some songs that wouldn't work with a full orchestra, can still work. Depends on which songs they choose. And i also hope they update MHWGO - bring the beauty of the song, film, and voice back again, and show people why that song was so successful. Quote

I hope they will perform it as the Soundtrack version, which is more orchestral than LTAL! is this an omen??? Did You Know?February 16 , 2010 Celine listened to a lot of American music even before she learned to speak English. With a pen or hairbrush in hand, she would sing in front of the mirror, imitating artists like Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder. One song she loved to perform over and over again was the 1980s Irene Cara hit "What A Feeling" from the movie Flashdance. The movie was particularly inspiring for Celine because of its message of not giving up on your dreams. Kyle_Jared Posted February 19, 2010 at 07:05 PM Posted February 19, 2010 at 07:05 PM I think "The way we were" by Barbra Streisand would be so classy. "I Finally found someone" from the mirror has two faces could be beautifully done too. Quote

Leenu Posted February 20, 2010 at 11:51 AM Posted February 20, 2010 at 11:51 AM (edited) Thanks, Vinny, for posting that! That was so touching and funny, too. Actually, it's the afternoon, because – as husband René Angelil warns in a preparatory conversation – "We had quite a party last night and Céline is sleeping in for a little bit." Wonderful, that she's enjoying herself And that she's all excited about the new show! The way it was arranged for LTAL is so much better in my opinion.. And that is a pity considering James Horner had such a huge orchestra! The best orchestral version I have heard so far, is the 1998 grammy awards version Quote <iframe width="640" height="390" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/hl2XkxnYljg" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Claudette Posted March 1, 2010 at 11:18 AM Posted March 1, 2010 at 11:18 AM I don't think Celine will ever sing something from Whitney and especially not such a big song (singing the phonebook to the tune of ''I will always love you'' doesn't count). Celine considers Whitney as one of the best voices and I think to spare herself the whole thing of being compared to such a big voice, she would never do it. It is very risky for any artist to sing such a big song. For the same reasons Whitney will never sing a Celine song. I'm not saying that Celine won't be able to sing a Whitney song. I mean at the moment with the condition Whitney's voice is in, Celine would probably sing circles around her... but I don't think it will ever happen... MHWGO is her biggest most recognizable hit.. and if this is a show about hollywood movies then MHWGO will for sure be a part of it.. it'd be nice to see MHWGO at the beginning.. but i think they have found that putting MHWGO at the very end of her show works well.. plus it'll be nice to have an orcestral version of the song.. so it'll be a little different Quote The Wait Is Over?
