Songs for the show

I'd be reluctant to throw it into Tier 2.

 

Tier 2 songs I've heard on the radio multiple times and are pretty well known as "hers" .... to me, ANDHC is not on that same level (success-wise or radio airplay-wise) as those four songs.

I've heard "A New Day Has Come" on the radio quite a bit.

I know it's about as likely as hearing "Who Let The Dogs Out", but I would absolutely love to hear her singing "Piaf Chantait Du Rock"

Yesterday in the car i listened to ESNRQ (sur le plaines version) and now i'm so hoping they will include this french song in the show!! It would sound amazing with orchestra and it's something else then PQTME

Isn't it totally insane that there's only a month left to the premiere and still we don't know more than what we knew a year ago?!

I think the unknown element is quite exciting Nikola. It makes it feel more like the Premiere of a new show, when you have very little knowledge of what to expect. OK, it would lead to some disappointments on the night when you realise that something you hoped would be gone is still there, but it will hopefully also mean that we get plenty of lovely surprises too. No real knowledge of what the style of the show will be, what the visuals will incorporate, how the orchestra and band will be presented. All adds to the air of anticipation. yesterday my bf and i talked about the same thing, we know nothing about this new show and somehow i'm happy about it

 

The only thing we know is that it will last 1h40 and that there will be an orchestra! And to be not too dissapointed in the end I'm expecting an combination of AND/TC show ;-)

 

But if it would be like what i dreamed about last night, damn then i would be pure heaven

We certainly are Davey. But I was thinking, if we start flashing our thrupenny bits too soon, they'll stop the show there and then. So We had better do it during My Heart Will Go On. Our cue will be when she thumps her chest. (Jane, could you add this into the official ICDFM schedule?)

I agree. I knew everything about AND when I was there. It's not very fun.

which makes about 17/19 songs already! I guess they will certainly choose at least 1 song from ANDHC album and TC album, so to me there won't be any breathtaking surprises as far as Celine's discography is concerned. In A New Day... they included many songs which weren't even singles nor big hits(I Surrender, Nature Boy, A New Day Has Come ballad version, Have You Ever Been In Love - which was a single but later and wasn't a big hit, At Last, Seduces Me, Ammore Annascunnuto, If I Could, What A Wonderful World etc.), and in this case I think they'll go with the well-known songs, especially since there isn't any new album. What's more, I believe that they won't change setlist so much as they did before because there aren't many shows and they would have to make changes every 50 shows which obviously doesn't make sense.

I was thinking though that since Mego mentioned Falling Into You as his favourite, maybe they'll come back to it...

I would love to hear In some small way, let your heart decide, in his touch, the reason I go on, je lui dirai, contre nature, le temps qui compte. I really hope there is a good variation on the old classics she sings.

I understand that Rene feels that people who go to listen to Celine go because of the classics, but surely to goodness he will want this show to be completely different to A New Day and Taking Chances. I hope so anyway.

HYEBIL is an underrated hit. It was #2 on the AC chart for like 12 weeks or something, which is a record.

 

That is certainly better than most of her self proclaimed "hits" have done.

I heard "Beauty And The Beast" on the radio last night as my partner and I were on our way to dinner. Even though it isn't one of my favorites of hers, it's time this hit is brought back into her set lists and "I'm Your Angel," "The Prayer" and "All The Way" are sent away to Hiatusland for a while.

1000% agree with you I enjoy Bernard on "I'm Your Angel" but it's just kinda boring now everyone has heard those. She should know people will come just to see the theatrics of the show, we need French songs too! Besides POTME
