International Fan Meeting - Premiere Week

The main title and link would be ofcourse to this board. But the problem with fora is that all the info is spreaded arround, you'll have to search for it. I just would like to combine all the info on a purely static website (except for the part where they can input their details into the database to collect all the info regarding precense on the meeting). Discussions have to be made here ofcourse...

Could you tell me more about this? I'm not up to date with that (It would be before my time on this board, since I'm only registered for about 2 years).

I think, it's a good idea to make a site with all the info combined about the convention.

Maybe also with the deadlines etc.

So only "facts".

 

If we want to discuss something or chose a badge or... we do it here on our forum.

I like the original black badge the most. With the show logo and pictur on it.

I wouldn't mind having the nicknames from the forum on the badge so we will know who is who. I don't know your real names.

 

 

About the hotel and when I will arrive in Las Vegas, I don't know that until December this year since it's cheapest for me to buy airline tickets then and the economic situation here in Iceland is VERY unstable

I like the black badge with the country flag in it, I don't really like the idea of the forum nickname because of nicknames are too long and weird to have them in the badge. But, the idea of the badge is excellent!

I understand CLine's concern about the website too, but it is necessary to keep the info in one place.

Another option is to make a Sticky with the main info and then have a link to the database to input our info.

 

We can start making a list of forum names and real names so that everyone can get familiar with them. This way we can take the forum name off the name tags. Or you could all just put your real names in your forum name like I did

 

I also love that everyone is working on the name tags. I am extremely jealous of your talents

I'm not sure how we are going to make the final decision, but my suggestion is that Stijn, Jennifer and Anu chose their top 3 (in November?) and we open a thread with a voting poll.

 

As for the International Fan Meeting that John mentioned: Marissa created a website (icdfc.com) where we could all discuss a fan meet for the final week of A NEW DAY. It was created long before they had the dates for the final show. I think the project was dropped because there were fans that treated Marisa very unfairly. One reason why she is no longer on this forum. I eventually took over and organized some dinners and tours etc. My biggest problem was that there were some fans who had said they would come and did not so I ended up paying for them as I had made reservations and put down deposits. I lost over $500 that week. This time, if deposits are required then everyone will have to pay in advance.

We can do this. And we may open a new section specially made for the meeting and everything, for example members must be put in a special group to view it.

Isn't Marisa herself dropped the plan? That project was never part of this forum, so some fans from this forum doesn't like it shouldn't affect it anyway. I thought she's living a very busy life lately, so she has no time for her project anymore. Sorry to hear you lost your deposits, didn't know that at all. I don't think our meeting would be dropped.

I'll start the site within a week or two, I'll try to integrate the database in it where everyone can register. At this point it will be easy for the organisation to view who is coming and what he or she want's to do.

We'll keep it as a static website only, discussions will be done here.

The discussion will be done HERE and nowhere else

 

A sepparate website is easy to give a summary of our plans and since a database is included (the one I've created before or a new one), it's easy for us to keep track of the people attending the meeting and other activities. It would also give an oppurtunity to make listings, maybe even links with links with office software to make maybe some personalised leaflets, etc... for everyone.

 

I don't want to get the discussion away from here, au contrary, it has to remain here and nowhere else...

Ok thanks well only the rear orchestra is left for the 15th, not the front orch, and i don't think there is a bad view from there, so maybe I will just try and get a ticket from there. I really want to be part of this!!!

Fanny: I had vegas.com tickets for AND and picked them up 2 days before the show without any problem. The Box Office staff are very friendly about it.

The dinner will be a buffet anyway so you can join us anytime.

Jane, that's great news Maybe those who come on the 14th (like me ;D) will be able to pick up their tickets then. Or on the 15th, but earlier during the day So do we already know where we'll be eating dinner? Caesars or somewhere else?

 

Oh and is someone really planning to talk to people from Pure to make a Celine-themed party? ;D

We always met at SLICE after the show during A NEW DAY. That is where the band always hung out.

There might be too many of us this time, though.

I'll look for places to meet up

I'm pretty sure Pure will be too crowded and they will most likey have a private party for the cast etc.
