Has this got anything to do with the vegas.com credit card problem?

I don't know if I understood the Fench correctly, but is it true that someone had $500 stolen from their credit card after using it on vegas.com?

No it has nothing to do with that.

 

But yes it is true that shishi had 1500 € stolen (it has increased since yesterday...). Her bank told her that it came from a casino... and the last website she bought something on was vegas.com. So her guess is that someone managed to steal her credit card number there and is now using it.

 

It has not happened to anyone else so far (thank God!) but we should all be careful and check our bank accounts often...

She will get her money back because she has got an insurance, however it will take some time before she can actually have it back... which sucks because 1500 € is a LOT of money.

If you contact your bank before the end of the billing periode you can protest the upcoming invoice and normally the bank wont pay the invoice to VISA which is better then to wait and to see what happens.

 

But it definately sucks...

She should call her bank before the billing period, also call for a lost of her credit card as soon as possible. If she did, she shouldn't see more bills from that card after the first one.

It could also be that she booked online and that she got hacked rather than it being Vegas.com. My guess is to that or that she was on an unsecured network when she booked online which would also allow her to hacked and her keystrokes to be copied and card number stolen. To someone who knows how to do it, online hacking and theft is VERY easy that's why I'm always weary of doing "important" things on an unsecured network. It'll take some time but things SHOULD work out for her, it still sucks though. I hope she's feeling alright, I've had identity theft as well as regular theft before so I know how it can feel to be violated in that way.

Hey so I'm kinda out of it, been on and off busy so I don't know fully what the plans are and what's been "booked" or looked into but, I just remembered the other day that I have a pretty good connection at The Wynn, which is far away but VERY nice... She's in sales there and I sent her an email about maybe a block of rooms or some rooms or etc. She's also somewhat concierge-ish so has some ins (I think) with booking events etc in Vegas. If anyone would be interested in me looking into this avenue I'd be happy to. My sister and I may end up staying there cause we will likely get a very good rate. She might do the meeting rooms too, as a thought... Just thought I'd see if anyone would like me to pursue this avenue and get more information on various things...

Hey guys i have a fabulous idea!!!Why don't we organize a CELINISH KARAOKE PARTY??I think this would be the best forum meeting.We are gona have fun singing and making jokes and stuff.This will help us to know each other better. Getting into Pure will be easy enough, we can get on the guest list prior and that should get us in, never had a problem with that before.

But I still believe nothing's impossible, and t's only the beginning. We'll see what happens, right now I won't take a NO for an answer. I hope we will manage to get Her interested in our Forum meeting and get a chance to get Her to at least come take a picture with us; any opportunity to present Celine with our award + early B-day present is crucial. Maybe the media will help us; I am planning to contact some major Polish TV&radio stations soon.

I say we go for Oprah. You know she and Celine are like BFFs, and Oprah might be there anyway and she won't have to buy us anything, heck we could even offer to video it all and just send her a tape and all she'd have to do is talk Celine into meeting us. I live in Chicago and am more than happy to try whatever you guys can come up with to make it happen. I have a contact or two who work at Harpo but I will say even if you're a celeb wrangler, you still don't have a lot of pull, trust me, I know... But again I'll be happy to do what I can, offer to meet up with whoever at Harpo... thoughts? Has this already been mentioned?

Right now it is 62F or 17C

 

Should be about the same next year. Maybe a bit warmer coz winter went on longer than usual this year.

 

I was just in Las Vegas in the week of March 8-12 and the weather was COLD! It was windy and rainy, although some of the afternoons...it was sunny and a bit warmer. The same day I left at the end of the week... it got much warmer!

Then this past week, March 15-19, I was following the forecast & it was definitely pretty warm! 20C-26C / 70F-79F

I'm still not sure when I will be arriving/departing. I'm going to the shows on the 15th and 16th.... I'll probably try to get there on the 15th early morning, but not sure if I want to leave after the show on the 16th, or sometimet he following day. I've never been on a plane before!!!!

Only the owners of this board (Koolan & Bellamy can take such actions or can appoint people who can take the necessary steps on their behalf.

 

So please stop sending mails to Céline Dion, her management, the record company, promotors, friends or co-workers, etc... (non limitative list). If and when such is required, it will be asked or people will be assigned to do so.

 

The same applies for contacting the media.

 

 

It's still almost one year till the show and the meeting will take place in Vegas so their is still plenty of time. We have said before that we will try to get Céline Dion to meet the group but we've also said that it will be hard to achieve and that chances are close to zero to succeed. However, we will do everthing in our power to at least try... If everyone is going to contact Céline's management or anyother party to "beg" for a meeting it will reduce the allready slim chances for the group. So we ask everyone to stop mailing (or any other ways or communication) regarding this issue.

If people are contacting Celine's people on behalf of the forum and us fans without our knowledge (or the admins permission) then you will ruin our plans for the future.

 

If we want to succeed then we need to work together and be professional and organized.

If you really want to enjoy the trip and not miss out on all the fun then you should try and stay until Friday or at least Thursday night.
