that website looks good, i think it needs also an "edit" option to change your info once you've entered it.

another idea : what do you guys think of creating a Facebook event?....it would be easy to share pictures that way too, and most people seem to have facebook accounts. it's easy to email everyone at once too. the only problem I see is with people who have no facebook accounts or don't use them

1 - Would they be able to login later and change their info if they had to?

2 - Is there a limit to the amount of questions you can ask?

 

Editing should be possible, and there is no limit to the amount of questions. I'm currently running a trial but even if I downgrade to a free account we'll still be able to create 1000 records.

I just made a group, for the forum meeting on Facebook. I think it probably doesn't hurt to have the information as accessible as possible for everyone who wants to be a part of it. For now the group is secret which means you have to request an invite and then when we decide the above questions (though personally I say the more Celine fans the better) I can change it's privacy settings and as of now there ISN'T an event but it's a good place to start because I know FB is integral in many people's lives and it'll be nice to have one page with lots of information . It'll just be a second site to this.

I don't need to be the lead on this and once people start gaining membership I can make others admins,, but what's nice about this is that all I did was create a group, people can control just as much as an admin would be able to do.

How long are most people going to be staying in Vegas? I was going to fly in on the Monday and perhaps fly out on the Friday, but would be interested to know whether this is about the right length of time, and what other people are thiing about dong?

What's nice about meeting up with people with something in common (Celine) is that it's easier to have something to talk about, something to pull you out of shyness. If you want and can come you shouldn't let that shy fear hold you back, somehow I think you'd get over it pretty fast and have a great time with all the Celine Maniacs.

What's nice about meeting up with people with something in common (Celine) is that it's easier to have something to talk about, something to pull you out of shyness. If you want and can come you shouldn't let that shy fear hold you back, somehow I think you'd get over it pretty fast and have a great time with all the Celine fans.

I'm going to make it an open group, I definitely think we can find more Celine fans, get this forum some more members AND get an opportunity to make more friends for the meeting.

 

If you're on FB and haven't joined yet, please do (once it's open and public there will be no need to request membership) and after you do, be sure to pass it along to your other CD friends on FB so they can join too!

Let's make a group photo and a continent photo as some of us will be the only one representing their country

I'll be by myself representing South Africa and Africa

 

Here's a summary of all the main ideas:

 

Wearing lanyards with credit card type name tags. This will be to identify each other as a group.

 

Buffet Dinner at 5pm on the 15th.

We're looking at restaurants in Caesars and hotels very close by.

Most people will be on a tight budget so we are trying to keep the price as low as possible.

 

A visit to PURE after the show. This is for over 21s only. It will be very very busy and crowded so not for everyone. I think it's better if people organize this amongst themselves.

 

A group lunch on the 16th. Probably also a buffet. (Ellie)

 

Getting a VERY large birthday card and for everyone to sign their name and city, state or country. (Tracey)

 

Making the media aware of our visit and events and getting them involved. We already have one of the main LV newspapers on board. (Stijn)

 

Taking the party bus on a trip somewhere like Lake Las Vegas or the Hoover Dam or along the strip. (Ellie)

 

Making a pamphlet or A4 poster with the schedule for everyone on arrival.

This could be placed in a package and left at the main hotel to be collected on arrival because everyone will be arriving at different times.

 

Making a billboard for CP reception or colosseum box office with "Welcome Celine Dion Fans" or something similar. (Tracey)

 

Getting a meet and greet with Celine. If she is not available then maybe some of her people.

 

Try organize a tour of the colosseum like we did during the DVD recording of A New Day.

 

Making a list of everyone's cell phone numbers so we can keep in contact. To be kept private of course.

 

Stijn is working on a webiste for everyone to sign in and give their info for the events.

 

Group photo shoot in front of the colosseum at 4pm on the 15th. One photo of everyone and then photos of country, state or continent groups.

 

Working on CF2 projects so we can hand over a large check at the premiere. www.cfsquared.org

Bear in mind that for many of the paid activities such as bus rentals, etc, the more people the more the cost is shared which means in the end the less money it costs. Of course we might not always be able to do everything together but some of those things that we do end up doing together could be cheaper with more people.
