I agree, I don't think US fans have the upper hand on meeting Celine! I have been writing to Oprah every day for months now and had a ton of people write in for me too when I found the link on Oprah's website and I had an awesome story and everything yet.....nothing. So I dunno! I'm still waiting for my dream to come true, but I hoped I could share it with Celine next week on Oprah I've never tried so hard and dreamt so hard about something and I am exhausted from it lol. i think there is something wrong with my internal dreaming mechanism. I'm having no luck!

Maybe that's the thing. Trying too hard. When it happens, it happens!

In "I Drove All Night" - they string multiple cities in...to make up the full song. Other songs only lasted a good minute or so and ends up being background music to Celine's sightseeing, etc. The French songs I can quickly name: DUAM, PQTME, SSD...ummm I think that was it...

 

Rare songs: A Song for You, and this unknown English song (I don't think it was her song) that she sings in her South African leg - she does this awesome highpitched belting thing. Also included were We Will Rock You & Show Must Go On...

 

Anyhoo if I missed something....you'll find out when it releases!

This is Kerry checking in, current time is 11:11pm

The movie ended @ 9:00pm but after sticking around the theatre for a bit, hailing taxis & grabbing a bite to eat...I'm back at the hostel & by myself

 

Anyhoo...first off, this screening isn't like a big event (a la major Hollywood premieres) but there sure were A LOT of people who attended the show!

 

Quick bulletpoints:

- Only Oprah's staff were there. No Oprah or Celine...

- 2 seperate screening theatres, I guess since there were that many ppl

- We had assigned seats in the theatre and my seat was up close so my neck kinda hurt and have to shift eyes left & right more often to catch everything!

- 1 of Oprah's B-show taping producers just gave a run through protocol for tomorrow's taping

- Approx 370 ppl are expected!!! Gonna be INSANE!!!

 

Concert film itself...we clapped & cheered a lot!!

- It was in tour date order, some full songs but mostly snippets

- Ummm not sure if I want to talk about the songlist...lol!

It was a decent setlist but I'm too tired to name the songs & I kinda wanna keep it as a surprise for now. Hahaha

 

I'm going to end here for now. Not sure if I wanna reveal everything.

Have to see it for yourself but it was the best 2hrs of my life in the movie theatre!

 

Ok I'm going to sleep. Gotta wake up @ 6:30am! I've been running low on energy. I said said Hello & hugged Kim & Tracy but I think they sat in a diff screening room. I was in the same room as the 14 girls and said Hi to some but not all.

 

Cannot wait for the taping! I won't be able to tweet during the show since our phones will be checked in @ security. Hopefully I can find WiFi somewhere after the show but might be too busy eating with the gang - if we end up having a big meetup/reunion of forum members..

Secondly, it would have been nice to have a guy selected, I agree. That was actually part of my submission to the Oprah show. I wrote a blurb on what it's been like to be a heterosexual, male, Celine Dion fan since I was 11 years old... haha... woe is me. j/k

 

Congratualtions to all of the forum members that were "chosen". I say chosen tongue and cheek... because you really are the "chosen ones". What a fantastic and rewarding experience you all will get to share. I am excited for when this episode will air to spot you all out! I hope that each one of you will be able to get a personal Celine moment, although I do think that attending the taping is a HUGE Celine Moment haha

 

 

Lastly, If you are able to have a personal moment or are interviewed etc. Please convey our love to Celine. All of her life, she has given.. given.. and given more to her fans. She has shared her life and welcomed us with open arms. Just think about the numerous members who have been touched here.. just on the TC tour. The special moments that she creates... she does not have to do these things. She can turn into the singing robot for 90 mins and exit the arena. But that is one of the reasons why I think we all love our Celine... she doesn't do that. She doesn't do that because she is genuine.

 

She allowed cameras to follow her for over a year while on tour.. why? To give back.. to share... to let the fans see a more intimate part of her life. So, here we are with an opportunity to give back to Celine. To the 19 of you at the taping... you carry all of our feelings for Celine and are now ambassadors of the forum. You each have a piece of us with you and it is up to you to let those come through and share it with Celine...to make "one heart"...fill her soul with our love. (no pressure!)

 

Please have an amazing time.. don't be scared to say what you feel to her ( I am sure some of you will get the opportunity) and let her know, that there are 20,000 of us here that would love to be in Chicago with you all too.

Hi gang, tonight was very nice and I feel blessed. The movie was very special...exactly as expected from our beautiful angel on earth! <3 I don't have many details, but I just wanted you to know that the behind the scenes moments were so heartfelt and genuine. It really is a tribute to ALL the fans around the world and a gift from Celine's heart to ours. You won't be disappointed!

 

I was excited to see some friends in the movie, like Shikma from Israel, Valentina from Italy, Jimena from Mexico. Way to go, ladies!
