Celine on Oprah - February 10th, 2010

I wonder if she's going to sing anything? I mean, she doesn't have a single to promote, and she's already sung My Love on Oprah. Maybe it will be like last time, where she takes requests.

I think they're still doing it but with fewer countries than originally planned.

What time did the screening begin?

They had to be there at 6pm, so I guess it would have started about 30 minutes later. The film is 1h57m right?

Maybe they had instructions to hear before starting the movie , or maybe Oprah arrived late (u know talk-show divas ), or maybe something terrible happened and had to cancel . Who knows???

They will be instructed not to tell anyone about the movie but hopefully they'll send someone here a PM so they can post it here "anonymously"

 

They are most likely just too excited and having too much fun. I guess when they get back to their hotels later they'll write something.

i doubt that celine is going to be there too. She normally flies in for the taping and ten flies back

Yes, but Oprahs show is taped in the mornings and Celine usually reharses the night before the taping, ODDS are Celine is already there and maybe she made an apperance to the first screening!

it would be so cool if she was there and was sitting in the audiance. how awesome would that be to sit next to her for 2 hours...or behind her...i would probably stare at her the entire time instead of watch the movie!

Wait a minute. Some fans were called to watch TTEOTW and then they will be back to record Oprah's tv show with Celine there? Am I wrong?

This is Kerry checking in, current time is 11:11pm

The movie ended @ 9:00pm but after sticking around the theatre for a bit, hailing taxis & grabbing a bite to eat...I'm back at the hostel & by myself

 

Anyhoo...first off, this screening isn't like a big event (a la major Hollywood premieres) but there sure were A LOT of people who attended the show!

 

Quick bulletpoints:

- Only Oprah's staff were there. No Oprah or Celine...

- 2 seperate screening theatres, I guess since there were that many ppl

- We had assigned seats in the theatre and my seat was up close so my neck kinda hurt and have to shift eyes left & right more often to catch everything!

- 1 of Oprah's B-show taping producers just gave a run through protocol for tomorrow's taping

- Approx 370 ppl are expected!!! Gonna be INSANE!!!

 

Concert film itself...we clapped & cheered a lot!!

- It was in tour date order, some full songs but mostly snippets

- Ummm not sure if I want to talk about the songlist...lol!

It was a decent setlist but I'm too tired to name the songs & I kinda wanna keep it as a surprise for now. Hahaha

 

I'm going to end here for now. Not sure if I wanna reveal everything.

Have to see it for yourself but it was the best 2hrs of my life in the movie theatre!

 

Ok I'm going to sleep. Gotta wake up @ 6:30am! I've been running low on energy. I said said Hello & hugged Kim & Tracy but I think they sat in a diff screening room. I was in the same room as the 14 girls and said Hi to some but not all.

 

Cannot wait for the taping! I won't be able to tweet during the show since our phones will be checked in @ security. Hopefully I can find WiFi somewhere after the show but might be too busy eating with the gang - if we end up having a big meetup/reunion of forum members..

The feelings described on the Twitter page by Kerche are exactly those I expected to experience when I'll get to watch it. So I guess I'll love it very much and won't be disapointed. Hoping to have more news about it from other fans of the forum soon. At this hour, I think we'll have to wait tomorrow though.
