No the part they heard goes, the lyrics are very hard to hear. Even the original because I had to look it upon several sites and listen to and watch Celine's mouth move during one part so I could actually understand what she was saying and finally got the lyrics right as to what she said. But yeah the part Carrie sings I listened very carefully and she says....

(What about us)

We're ravaging the seas'

 

Not what about Kanye West

 

I also did a double take on Carrie's line because I also thought she said "Kanye West"... I went, "That can't be?! Is he THAT extinct and beyond salvation that he gets a mention?!" Thanks for clarifying it! *walks away laughing*

OMD! those pictures are really great! Flashlight does not make everyone look great, and I think these pictures are really great! Celine looks far better than on the pics with Beyonce. And about the kneeling thing; Lada Gaga did not want to stand up of her chair! I find that a bit arrogant, but who knows she is even smaller than celine? and it will look stupid ;-)

Lady Gaga is known wearing weird clothes, but it does fit her! She looks like an iceprincess..really extravagant.

Maybe Celine is begging to do a duet together on her new album? WHo knows?

I think she has some extensions. In the first and fourth pics, they seem to be a little obvious. But I maybe wrong as well.

In my opinion, she has never really given a TRULY outstanding performance at the Grammies. Beauty and the Beast back in '92 was very good though.

 

Anyway, for those keeping score:

 

Beyonce now has 16 Grammy Awards. She's now 3rd all-time. Celine, Whitney, Mariah and Madonna have fewer than 10 each and to think these women are real legends.

Interesting tidbit:

 

Swift also was the first solo female country winner ever of the award, and the first female pop winner since Celine Dion won in 1997 for "Falling Into You."

 

So until Taylor won on Sunday, Celine was the last female to have won album of the year...making Taylor the first female to win in 13 years. So between 1997-2009, no other female out there could attain that honor other than Celine.

Her best performance at the Grammies is still Dance With My Father.The anxiety forced her to rely on the piano alone, nothing else and we go

 

Earth Song vocals were quite quite, nothing to complain but also nothing to write home about, just adequate.

 

What she has to realize that nowadays she needs training more than before. It became apparent to me that while seeing her record "We Are The Shamans" she just belted it out and thought that it's gonna sound good like it always did... This is not the case anymore.
