An average performance, to be honest. Celine (and the rest, really) sounded better during the rehearsal.

She was just kneeling so she didn't block everyone's view. She was not being submissive !!! It was the right thing to do. I wish everyone would stop going on about this !!!

Ehrlich said the selection of the singers was organic -- Robinson was extremely close to Jackson, and Jackson had great admiration and respect for Usher, Dion, Hudson and Underwood.

Why are people making a fuss about those 'kneeling' pictures?

 

Celine was kneeling talking to Gaga because her head would have been about 3 foot above Gaga's who was sitting down otherwise! I think the photos look cute, kind of personal and friendly and they both look very engaged. It was obviously a little moment that happened during a commercial break, not much time to spare so Celine just went over to have a little chat, what's wrong with that?!

Same here. On CCTV news, they said MJ's favorite singers Celine Dion and others pay tribute to him, and only showed Celine signing. Guess CCTV editors don't know who are the other singers anyway.

here in Canada, beacause we are so close to the US, Celine isn't such a big deal anymore, now the Canadians and americans are pretty much the same here....

 

When i was is China last summer, i was so shock to find how famous Celine was there!

 

BTW i love how Celine gets to sing first during the tribute!

I've only just got round to posting.... I'm nursing a really bad hangover from the grammy party we had...lol

 

Like everyone has said Celine was soooooooooo friggin incredible... when she first walked out, even though I was expecting her, I got so excited and so proud! She looked sooo hot, her voice was the best out of the lot, and I'm so glad I stayed up to watch it...... we all loved this years show... even though Usher did go over the top during bits of it, tut tut.

 

But I think people who aint Celine fans, really sat up and took notice last night, as she looked and sounded incredible, shes a legend and I'm so happy to be a fan.

Thank you Céline for ruining my beauty sleep last night. I woke up at 5 am with the Earth Song on my mind and could not sleep again. I went online and saw her perform

Céline totally rocked that performance! She was the best and don't you let anyone tell you she wasn't, because that person is insane! Céline was so awesome that I think I've become more of a fan and I thought that wasn't possible!

 

Lady Gaga, ok I love her music, I really like it but she is just uhm weird! Like she was on drugs in those photos with Céline. Again Céline is standing out in the photos, love her!

 

Usher, omg! who dragged him from the scrap yard? It sure wasn't RC because he sure has better taste than that! Usher sucked! BIG TIME! What was he thinking?? Nothing I guess.

 

Smokey, well I am not proud of him but I think he had the right to be there as he was MJ's mentor, so I forgive him.

Thats actually what i think, i just cant get over this Celine character i love her but that is absolutelly inappropriate for a woman her range to do that. I mean can you imagine Whitney, Mariah, Christina or Beyonce do that? Never. Celine sometimes acts like she is a newbie in the world of showbusiness

I think she looked and sounded sensational! I love both outfits, but OMG those legs!!!! I love it that she's so humble and doesn't keep herself away from everybody, just to prove people she's the biggest star there. I love it how she likes to go and congratulate people and make them feel appreciated. Even if they don't say it in interviews or whatever, I'm sure all of them are really pleased when a music legend like Celine comes up to them to say "Hey, well done, you're good!". Celine doesn't give a whizzzzz about how this would be interpreted... She doesn't care about fake stuff like that. She likes to go up and talk to people. So what? She's in the front row with Gaga and people are behind, so it's only normal that she gets down (and she did the same for the picture). And if the other divas would never do that, well that's what makes Celine stand out from the rest. With an attitude like that, and thinking your above anyone else (literally ), is sure not how Celine approaches her life... and thankfully so.
