Belle Céline Posted February 10, 2010 at 02:33 AM Posted February 10, 2010 at 02:33 AM I found out three showtimes here. Two are for the 17th and 18th at 7:30 the other is the 20th at 2:00 which is the one I'm attending. I'm going to make an afternoon out of the movie Lunch before hand and then the movie. I plan on listening Celine when I go to bed the night before and when I'm getting ready Quote “There’s nothing I love more than the romance of a night in the theater.”http://i39.tinypic.com/ws0due.png

Belle Céline Posted February 10, 2010 at 02:57 AM Posted February 10, 2010 at 02:57 AM How much is it?15 bucks. I was one of the ones who swore up and down I wasn't going to pay that much to see it that I'd just buy the DVD when it comes out. Well honestly I couldn't wait. It's been what two years since the tour and STILL no DVD so I'm tired of waiting. I just want to see it. I found someone who is willing to go so I'm willing to pay the fifteen bucks to see it. Julian Posted February 10, 2010 at 05:38 AM Posted February 10, 2010 at 05:38 AM I hope you all had a great time! I hope to get a review soon! I would die if there is footage from any concerts i was, but i dont think so Maybe Munich,.... But let's see Thanks in advance Quote
Depp27 Posted February 10, 2010 at 06:01 AM Posted February 10, 2010 at 06:01 AM Just back from the screening. It's SO good, had a nice balance between the concert footage and behind the scenes stuff I thought. There were a few songs I thought would be in there that weren't, but I still liked the selection. But Celine is def a charachter lol and RC is So adorable! I don't wanna get spoiler-y so I'll just leave it at that lol. Quote
idroveallnight Posted February 10, 2010 at 06:18 AM Posted February 10, 2010 at 06:18 AM I thought I'd post a review of the documentary while my memory was still fresh. Special thanks to Vic again for inviting me...usually I'm very unlucky when it comes to things like this. The evening began at 7:30 when I arrived at Sony Pictures. As soon as I walked into the lobby I saw Chuck Taylor sitting by the elevators and immediately introduced myself. I had met him in Las Vegas and he was so kind and this evening was just the same. Vic was standing outside with the forum banner but not enough forum members were there to help make an impression. We took the elevator up to the theater and waited in a very nice lounge area (there were actually various Academy Awards on display who I'm thinking belong to deceased actors, it was just cool seeing an Oscar up close). Then the doors to the screening room were opened. It was a very lavish room. There were no more than 40 chairs and the atmosphere was very intimate. I imagine this is where critics and journalists get their first peaks at new flicks. The show started instantly. I do not want to give too much away, but let me say this: this documentary is extremely special and unlike anything Celine's team has ever put together for us. If you thought the Vegas dvd was something, prepare for greatness. You could tell a lot of thought and labor was put into this. The show ran exactly 2 hours and it was just complete bliss...two full hours of Celine. The documentary is basically in sequence to several of the concert performances from around the world (not just Boston & Montreal as I expected they would be recycling a lot of material from the concert dvd). The first number, "I Drove All Night" takes you across the globe as they seamlessly put dozens of performances of the song together (and you hear Celine saying "Is that all right [fill in city name]" from a plethor of countries). There is a story to share for every major city she visited and every song they put in the documentary. Celine's voice was just perfection. Whatever songs we are used to hearing in playback we apparently re-recorded by Celine because they are all different--make no mistake of it--they would be fools to use the same tracks from the Vegas dvd. Also included are many performances or audio of songs that fans feared we would not see since Celine did not perform them in Montreal or Boston. She keeps you laughing during the entire run from beginning to end. You see her highs and lows and some very keepsake moments with RC and fans. I thought this movie would be a lot like the promo but it's a million times better. The promo actually does this documentary no justice at all. The depth they go at times is really astounding. Oprah even makes an appearance, which may partly explain why Celine could plug this on her show. There isn't too much more I'd like to share since I want everyone to experience this for themselves. The fans will be very proud of this production and it might even turn a new leaf for some nonfans as well. You will all find yourselves adoring Celine at even higher levels than before. Quote
