The Strand Cinema in Belfast have finally gotten back to me. They told me that they have not been advised to order publicity for the movie, and therefore will most llikely not be showing it.

 

I am so disappointed, it's looking likely that the Movie won't be shown anywhere in Northern Ireland, and it's a bit late to be getting flights to England, so i don't think i'll get to see it on the big screen...........i could cry :cry:

I'm sorry but I really don't get the big deal with Blu Ray :shrug: the cost of a Blu Ray dvd is like triple a normal DVD. To over priced in my opinion.

 

 

Then you most likely haven't seen it ;) Or simply don't care about the major difference in quality. But for those of us who do - it's definitely worth the money cos there's no way in h*ll I'm going back to dvd :D

 

 

 

 

(Oh, and like someone else said, if you don't have the right TV etc, there's really no point in getting BD)

I've spoken to Sony Pictures UK today about this, and they are looking into this mate.... I'll let you know the craic as soon as they get back to me.

How is the introduction? It features Mexico?

 

The introduction has parts of the IDAN intro video in it - getting in the car, looking in the mirrors etc. At the same time it shows flashes of all the cities she performed in. Mexico is shown a few times throughout the movie

 

 

Mans world is also part of the docu right? From which city is it?

I think it was new york. It's one of the few songs where it's mostly just on-stage footage with the 3 men dancing around her

 

Celine moments:

There are about 3 absolutely hysterical Celine moments. I cried with laughter.

When she was on the boat in Amsterdam she put a piece of celery under her top lip and said "I'm having an allergic reaction" Then her sister puts one under her bottom lip and says "too much botox" :sofunny:

Then there's the sumo wrestlers - I know we've seen footage of this but it's still just SO funny.

 

 

Meet n Greets:

 

She meets a family in Holland, I think, where the mother had given one of the sons her kidney and Celine say "you would have given your heart, if you had to" Then you see Celine pacing up and down in the dressing room telling Rene the story of the family and that she shouldn't have met them right before the show because she wants to cry :cry:

She meets a fan in Italy and sings an Italian song with her and gives her a kiss on each cheek, then the fan kisses her again

We've seen footage of her meeting a fan in a wheel chair. The fan said something like "your music gave me the will to live"

 

In South Africa:

 

They go to the lion park and Celine plays with a cub and then hands it to Rene, who wasn't very pleased and gives it to the handler :laugh: Then Celine goes into the lion pen and RC hesitates, but then follows

You see them get locked in Nelson Mandelas cell on Robbin Island and Rene explaining to RC why he was locked up there for 27 years

The story of the red dress in Cape Town

Annie just liked it and decided they would give it a try, so Celine walks around the courtyard with it on and was happy to give it a go

 

I need a break ......

I already planned on having tissues after I bawled seeing the previews and then seeing RC on Oprah yesterday. :P

Finns!

 

I finally got an answer and as expected here are no plans to show the movie in theatres in Finland "at the moment". So I dunno if we flooded them with emails asking for it, then they might wake up and give us one showing or whatever, but I doub it. :confused:

Ummm... Let's see... what else do I remember:

 

Sorry if I get the country order wrong :-D

 

Dubai:

 

There is an interview with a female Arabic fan talking about how amazing Celine is etc and then parts of the concert

 

Australia:

 

You see the dancer, Zac (Right name??), visit his family. The show gets cancelled and they interview a few fans who were disappointed. Then they have the show and Zac's family meets Celine

They have a kind of "team building" dinner where RC sings the verses to WWRY and everyone sings the chorus. He is too cute and shy.

Then Celine's big birthday dinner. Not much on that, but then she does a show and says something like "this is my first show as a 40 year old woman" and shows off her muscles :laugh:

 

Korea:

 

At the end of the show while all of the dancers and band members are taking their final bow Celine does a little speech about one of the dancers who was from Korea but that was the first time she had been back since she was a little girl. Then she talks about Elise's son who was also from Korea. This has everyone in tears.

 

Japan:

 

They show parts of the concert in Tokyo and Osaka. They interview a fan and show Celine meeting the sumo wrestlers.

 

China:

 

She goes to a press conference where a reporter asks for her opinion on "China Power" and she says that she doesn't really understand the question but goes on to say something about "If you have belief in yourself then you can do anything...." :laugh:

 

 

RC moments:

 

We see him getting maths lessons from his tutor and being spun around by Celine

In Amsterdam he plays golf with Rene. While they are on whole number 5 they get a call from Celine who was on the boat

do u remember more from that city? i remember that we being filmed when she stepped out of the boat, and left her hotel for showtime...

Darren, do you think Sony Pictures UK could be persuaded to bring the movie to a Northern Ireland cinema for even one showing, in order to satisfy demand here? Perhaps something like the Belfast Odeon for only one evening show Edited by crannyview

I don't think so :hmm: They showed fans outside her hotel in Paris and New York, but I don't think they showed it in other cities

 

In France:

 

They show all the fans outside her hotel and someone from the hotel talks about how they have many many superstars staying there, but that Celine is the ONLY one that will stay and sign 300 autographs. They show 2 fans who traveled from Isreal waiting by the hotel. One of them was shaking like crazy. They show one fan who had her cell phone signed.

 

You can see the speech that the President gives when giving Celine the Legion of Honor pin and then Rene and Celine explaining it to RC in the car.

 

She sings my favourite song:

I thought I responded to this - oops. I don't know if I can say where it is? But I would guess Celine would be there - it's a very odd place to have a premiere!

I'm on the case... Im hoping to have it shown in atleast one cinema in Derry and Belfast, being the biggest two cities in N.Ireland, so hoping to hear back from them soon mate, and I'll keep you posted.
