Well it's stupid to think that she would announce it on Oprah. Guys she learnt the lesson that she shouldn't reveal pregnancy after some weeks/month, not a week after like it was in August... I think she wouldn't do that, she knows that it must be certain to announce... The worst thing that everything what Celine does nowadays is confusing.... Why would she say she'll try for 5th time on Oprah and say the same thing in People magazine. The baby thing would be abandoned if neither Oprah nor Celine didn't speak about it all. but they did... The contrary, though, is Vegas which is highly rushed in my opinion. They could even announce it in Fall, half a year before.... Well time will bring the answer:) but let's stay positive

What is also weird to me is the fact that there are going rumours around that she is already preparing for the show. I don't know, would she be working on the show while she is going through IVF. I don't know, this whole thing is just beyond weird. I don't know what to believe anymore. I guess we will have to wait and see what happens in the next couple of months. It is just really frustrating for people living ouside of the USA. I mean it costs a lot of money for us to travel to the USA, so do you start making plans or do you wait...

I think the samething. I mean what if she gets pregnant and they have to postpone the show or cancel some of them? Then your out a lot of money on a ticket alone because they start at like 95 plus 13 almost 14 for tax thats 108 dollars for a ticket! Not to mention travel cost, food cost, hotel cost, other spending costs. Its a lot of money to risk losing.

Celine's ticket for the show would be refunded, that for sure... but the plane, hotel rooms ??? not so much unless u buy insurrances (little fee u have to add when u buy tickets airline)

Many places don't offer refunds on plane tickets. I know my dad and his friend when they planned a trip to FL his friend bought the tickets and she couldn't go after breaking her leg and they wouldn't refund them or let anyone else go in her place. So it was a waste of money. But if the shows were cancelled and couldn't be rescheduled because of RC's school then you wouldn't get your money back. Remember the dates are based around his vacations from school. That's the only time she's doing them.

i think that it is good that you buy them in advance so you know that you had them. To me i would do it because that the way i know. :-) but cant wait and for the baby thing, im sadden but i hope that she gets the chances soon.

Celine told oprah shes trying for #5 , then she announced she is coming back march 15th 2011

does this make sense, so lets says he gets pregnant in a month, that give her about 2 and a half months of returning to the stage right after having her baby

2 and half months to get her body in top shape , lets say she can learn the choreography during the pregnancy, still she needs more than 2 months rest after giving birth before working hard again.

it's very confusing or impossibly demanding. so if she has everything she wants and is doing this only for pleasure like she says why put yourself through this time pressure.

Personally, I think Celine should have taken another year off then come back to give her more time with a (possible) baby. But, to me it sounds as if this show won't be so physically demanding. She could certainly do this show with a baby. Didn't AND begin at 8:30pm? This will begin at 7:30pm so she'll be home earlier. This definitely won't be as high stress as AND so I think it' would be fine.

I think that Celine and Rene got offered a really good deal (moneywise) to return to Vegas, which is why she's returning so soon and also Vegas desperatley needs top acts like Celine due to economic depression. This is just my opinion.

I really hope Celine gets pregnant, i am also thrilled to death that she is going back to Vegas! Im sure she will be able to manage the show and pregnancy she is the Celine machine! tee he he : b ......guess i am being a little selfish i can never get enough of this woman! After Vegas im sure she will take a long break and much needed rest (probably her standard 3-4yr break) In the mean time let's relish in all the excitement and celebrate! She most certainly would! =)

It's great that they try again but it's so much pressure on her. Now there's a real date when she has to get pregnant and that's not easy to do, I think all she needs is time

Yeah I was thinking the same thing about the timing if she ends up having another baby and the show a year from now. Even if she had a baby nine months from now it still seems like it's too close to be thinking of doing a show not too long after that. But, I'm sure she has thought about those things.

 

The other day I read something that mentioned Celine's past Las Vegas shows (in a positive way). They were mentioning how Barbra Streisand recently turned down 100 million dollars to do a three year show at Caesars. They mentioned Celine in comparison to who they've had there recently and how no one has been as successful. So you know they are excited to have her back because I guarantee most of the shows will either be sold out or pretty close to being sold out.

Celine Dion didn't make the Quebec premiere of her new movie – and she won't be at the opening ceremonies of the Vancouver Olympics tonight – because she is in a U.S. hospital trying to conceive a second child, her husband says.

 

“She's in a hospital right now in New York, trying to have a baby for the fifth time,” Rene Angelil said after the French-language premiere of Celine: Through the Eyes of the World in Montreal.

 

“The first four times didn't work,” Angelil said of the couple's attempts to have a sibling for nine-year-old Rene-Charles through in-vitro fertilization.

 

When asked about rumours Dion was going to perform at the opening of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Games, Angelil said she's otherwise occupied. He's heading to New York Friday to join her.

 

“Unfortunately she won't be at the Olympics but her video will,” he added. “She did We Are the World with all the artists and I think they're premiering it at the opening festivities of the Olympics.”

 

Dion said on The Oprah Winfrey Show on Wednesday that she is determined to have a second child.

 

The news came as Dion burst back into the public eye after taking a break last year at the conclusion of the Taking Chances tour which is chronicled in the movie.

 

She has also announced she'll be returning to Las Vegas for a new show starting in March 2011 and based on classic Hollywood romance movies.

 

In addition to participating in the recent re-recording of We Are the World in support of Haiti relief efforts, she appeared at the Grammy Awards.

 

Celine: Through the Eyes of the World recounts Dion's 2008-2009 world tour, tracking her Taking Chances tour across five continents and 25 countries.

 

The slick two-hour movie, directed by Stephane Laporte and produced by TV personality Julie Snyder, Dion's close friend, gives a behind-the-scenes look at the star and her family as well as ample show footage.

 

“It's incredible,” Angelil said, noting the movie was drawn from 800 hours of film. He said Dion was used to the crew, which had shot her Las Vegas show for DVD, and that helped her remain natural in front of the cameras.

 

“What I saw today was our whole year in two hours,” Angelil said. “He covered everything, the good times, the bad times.

 

“Very emotional to see the way she's such a professional, such a trooper. The way she is, a great human being. I think this comes out in the movie and I'm so proud of her.”

 

The movie is vintage Celine – the high-decibel vocals, the fist pumping in the air, the striding on stage.

 

And there are tears – she cries at the end of the tour, for example, and mists up when she receives France's Legion of Honour.

 

But she's also genuinely touched during a tour of a Nazi concentration camp in Germany and when she meets fans, one of whom is a woman in a wheelchair who says the pop star inspired her to keep on living.

 

There is also drama as she copes with viruses that waylaid her during the tour and a serious throat infection that put her out of action.

 

The movie gives new meaning to the term behind-the-scenes with footage of a medical exam where doctors run a camera down her throat and up her nose while she tries to sing in the hospital.

 

The flexing of the famous vocal chords is visible on monitors as doctors look on.

 

It also shows how she performed in spite of her illness a few times, her eyes widening in obvious pain as she hits certain notes.

 

But the movie has its funny moments too, with Dion goofing and being surprised by the ardour of one female Italian fan who gushes her adoration and clamps her in a hug, prompting some raised eyebrows from the star.

 

The cities click off like an odometer in the movie as Dion spans cultures after culture, sitting in Nelson Mandela's prison cell in one segment and telling the Chinese to follow their hearts and their dreams in another.

 

But there are also many personal moments, like when she spins her young son Rene-Charles around playfully at the family home and prays with her husband on their private jet.

 

The film will have its English-language premiere in Miami on Tuesday and be released in theatres in Canada and internationally the next day. The film, which has a limited run, will be out on DVD in a couple of months.

 

Tickets for her new Vegas production, which will run next year from March 15 to Aug. 14, go on sale Friday.

In a french article, I read that Celine said that if the fifth attempt is not the good one, she might try for a sixth one. She said that until her doctor doesn't tell her it's over, she's going to try to have that second child. Even if the Vegas show is now on, she said it wasn't like le cirque du soleil, and she doesn't have to do crazy moves on stage. So she considers herself being able to be pregnant with a second child and do the show.

 

Anyway, I really hope that this fifth try is the good one! She is determined, René is determined, RC is determined, and all of us are sending good vibes. This got to work !
