They do. haha They have even a special section with bootlegs of almost every show of theirs. And it's an official forum. It's actually because IL DIVO themselves allow it and encourage it. GoldenLeaf Posted May 4, 2007 at 09:14 PM Posted May 4, 2007 at 09:14 PM Barbra Streisand is to charge up to £500 per ticket when she plays the UK this summer. The cheapest seats for Streisand's concert at London's O2 Arena - formerly the Millennium Dome - will cost £100. The music legend is performing in the UK for the first time in 13 years. Her ticket prices far exceed the likes of Madonna and the Rolling Stones. Top tickets to see the Stones at Twickenham this summer cost £150. Madonna came under fire last year when tickets for her Confessions tour were priced between £80 and £160. Streisand's London gig on July 18 will be one of five European dates. She will also play Castletown House in Dublin on July 14 plus shows in Vienna, Paris and Nice.Whoa so expansive... Quote
celinerific Posted May 4, 2007 at 10:24 PM Posted May 4, 2007 at 10:24 PM Woah. Crazy woman. Celine has a special theatre and doesn't even charge that much. Quote http://i58.tinypic.com/2qbub9c.png @ErikaTran | Insta: aireexwp | erikatran.com
GoldenLeaf Posted May 4, 2007 at 11:01 PM Posted May 4, 2007 at 11:01 PM (edited) Woah. Crazy woman. Celine has a special theatre and doesn't even charge that much. That's soooo true! There's no other artists in that world who charge that much. It's a shame to notice that Streisand seems only care about $$$ and not about her fans. Edited May 4, 2007 at 11:04 PM by Calypso Quote
stevethefan Posted May 4, 2007 at 11:40 PM Posted May 4, 2007 at 11:40 PM She rarely does concerts anymore. I remember reading that for many years she had extreme stage fright, so this is why she would rarely tour. It's good to hear she is starting to sing live again. The ticket prices are high but I'm sure some people will buy them. She would be a great person to have perform at Caesars in LV after Celine leaves. Quote
firebird Posted May 5, 2007 at 12:49 AM Posted May 5, 2007 at 12:49 AM Her prices have always been high on her concert, and she gives a large part of that to charity. The ticket prices are high but I'm sure some people will buy them.Yes, some I guess Due to phenomenal demand, Barbra Streisand’s second night at The O2 Arena in London has now sold out. After her first show, on July 18th, sold out in twenty minutes the decision was made to add a second night on July 22nd. This has now also sold out. Tickets for both shows were made available today, Friday 4th May, following the announcement of the tour on Monday 30th April. The shows at The O2 Arena will be her first in the UK since 1994. The European tour, which her many fans have been eagerly anticipating for years, also visits Austria, France, Ireland and follows her record-breaking US tour last autumn. More tour dates in additional countries will be announced shortly. Barbra Streisand is the US music industry's #1 best-selling female recording artist. She is second in the all-time charts, ahead of The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, exceeded only by Elvis. Streisand remains the only artist to receive an Oscar, Tony, Emmy, Grammy, Golden Globe, Cable Ace, and Peabody Awards, and the American Film Institute's Life Achievement Award. Martin Erlichman, Streisand’s longtime manager announced the tour, and confirmed that the recent US tour, her first in six years, had broken box office records in a staggering 14 of the 16 venues she played. She already held, and still holds, the record in the remaining 2 venues. Designated proceeds from the tour will support her various philanthropic initiatives and will be distributed through The Streisand Foundation. The European concert dates are: 21 June - Vienna - Schloss Schonbrun 26 June - Paris - Bercy 10 July - Nice - Nikaia Stadium 14 July - Dublin - Castletown House 18 July - London - The O2 Arena 22 July - London - The O2 Arena Quote
Love, Posted May 5, 2007 at 01:35 AM Posted May 5, 2007 at 01:35 AM I have great admiration and respect for Barbara Streisand. She is a wise, witty, and wholesome person, who is truly a living legend. She has dedicated her life to upholding the standards of music and film. She has a great passion, an open heart, and a big mouth! "A Mirror Has Two Faces" remains as one of my favorite movies, and her monologue about LOVE is UNFORGETTABLE! Quote
Koolan Posted May 5, 2007 at 06:08 AM Posted May 5, 2007 at 06:08 AM When did she say she'll never tour again? Barbra Streisand is the US music industry's #1 best-selling female recording artist. kathyc25 Posted May 7, 2007 at 02:34 PM Posted May 7, 2007 at 02:34 PM That is a lot...but I`m not really surprised. She dosn`t tour a lot at all, so the prices will be high. Her fans will pay that much too because she dosn`t perform live that much and her fans want to have the chance to see her live. I don't really like either one but if i had to choose i would see Barbra as she is a legend. only Celine is better. and man, she is expensive...but celine is not cheap too. when i think that between me and my finace we spent $17,000 this year alone to see her in Vegas...omg, that is like a whole summer on the beach in Cancun!!!!
