At some point the fault lies with Celine and her team. I understand she is going through her own health battle but if the artist doesn’t give a rats A$$ about this kind of stuff why would the label twist a finger?

 

Not a Mariah fan so hate to keep bringing her up, but look at how she demands to the label what drops and pits her own artistic touch on it. If we could get an artist with Celine’s voice, stage presence and personality with the direction and artistry of Mariah Carey I think it would be the perfect combination.

For all peoples for 30th anniversary of this album, she detailled in her biography about the making-of this album in her Georges-Hebert Germain biography.

 

Jean-Jacques Goldman was interessed to wrote for Celine because he loved his voice. He called René to ask him to meet Celine. He meets Celine and Rene in a restaurant in april 1994 while she promoted her Dion Chante Plamondon album in France. He arrived in a bike and all was charmed by the simplicity he was and Celine instantly loves this person.

 

Luc Plamondon was supposed to work on his next french album at the time she meet Jean-Jacques Goldman. After that, she continue her tour to promote the album The Colour of My Love, the preparation of her wedding with René. During this period, Jean-Jacques Goldman ask Sony to give all the papers, interviews and magazine in order to wrote the songs for her for this album, When she arrived to make a concert at Olympia of Paris in end of september 1994, he was at this concert. He arrived backstage before the show to meet Celine, he present the texts of 10 of the songs of this album (he volontarty decided to not present Vole, because he didn't wanted her to distract her for the show, since it's thinking that was too painful and emotionnal for her).

 

The next day of the concert in Olympia, he decides to present the demos he recording at his home in a studio of Paris in a studio. The first demo he present to her and René was Pour que tu M'aimes Encore. When he playing the demo, she crying a lot and fell instantly in love with this song and wanted instantly to recording the song. He wanted to work with Celine about Celine voice many weeks, but Jean-Jacques was catastrophed when Rene told to she only have three weeks to recording this album because of her concert and her preparation of her wedding. He wanted to work to sing with less vibrato and less vocalisms in her songs. One song of another was playing this day and she love all the songs and wanted all the songs. The songs resonated a lot for her and she face with her feeling and her story with the songs of this album. Rene told Jean-Jacques to he didn't have to repeating a second time about working for her voice to her, because she was professionnal. René was devasted to have to annonced Luc to he didn't was the project of her next french album, depist the success of her album Dion chante Plamondon.

 

Also, the day they playing the demos, he present the lyrics of Vole. She was so touched enchanted to he give the song for her in memory of her niece Karine, passed away in may 1993 of cystic fibrosis ans was the sequel of Mélanie about her niece. She understand why he not submit this song before her Olympia concert. When she started to working on this album in november 1994, she recording a song each day and she loving every moment she work with Jean-Jacques. She loving every song and make a lot of pleasure to working on this album and loving every 12 songs of this album. ''Vole'' was the last song recording on this album and was recording only in one take. The day she recording this song in studio, no sound arrived of her and easy everytime to sing during two and three hours but no sound arrived. She stopping after easy during three hours, because it's was too painful, she took a pause to dinner with engenieers, Jean-Jacques, Vito and René. After the dinner, she was ready to recording the song, and they decides to only recording one take on this song. Her voice arrived during the take and when she finished , all was in tears in this song. She never re-recording again this song after this take for Vole.

 

Because The colour of My Love was popular, Sony decided to not released this album until march, depist Celine wanted immediatly to released this album, because like she say: ''This was the album of my life and this was my favorite album'', since The colour of My Love was in ascension worldwide during this period. She present the album before the wedding in her family and all was so proud of her album. Nobody in the public hear this album before march outside her family and Sony peoples.

THE artist (Celine) her management and team should be directing Sony to do more, we know Rene would’ve. There comes a point where the blame lies with the team. The label won’t spend money if they aren’t pressured to.

Yes, but they could have uploaded the PQTMAE video in 4K or something like that. Something for the fans and for the legacy of the album and Celine.

I was looking for something absolutely not Céline related on Google Maps in Paris when I just realized what was before my eyes.

This small building that looks like nothing happens to be the former Studio Méga, where Céline recorded 11 songs out of 12 for the album "D'Eux" !

The last time we got a full album live was ‘Unison’, right? She also did the whole ‘Incognito’ album live except (maybe) for the song ‘Jours de fièvre’.

I always thought that she never performed “Jours de fievre” but i watched a video from 1989 where she performed the song but it was lipped. I found the video after Celine Dion Performances channel shared it on their community post. So that means she performed the whole Incognito album but not entirely live.

I think you're right. It stings a little because the 1995 concert felt so lovingly dedicated to D'eux, and the album is "only" 47 minutes long.
