"The photofiles that were used to make the booklet of the D'Eux album. We're releasing it for some hard cash the fans, because that album is 15 years old!" "Oh oke, ermmm let me look" *20 minutes later* "Nah I didn't find anything, I think we lost those when we went from Windows 95 to Windows 98!" "Oh oke, what now?" "You know what! Javito Posted July 6, 2010 at 04:30 PM Posted July 6, 2010 at 04:30 PM What was strange to me is that they did this with a french release, because usually Sony Music France cares about Céline's releases and they make good releases with Céline (see D'elles different editions, 1F&4T deluxe, ONCP digipack and longbox etc). But this time they disappointed me a lot Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"

But this time they disappointed me a lot Well I just can't understand why they didn't have access to the original booklet design - they must have everything on file somewhere?? Cos the new version of Live a Paris in Europe, originally released just a year after D'eux, is not scanned at all - and that features a new catalogue number, slightly different booklet and the new Sony Music logo... woodstock Posted February 24, 2015 at 08:31 PM Posted February 24, 2015 at 08:31 PM Have you ever noticed that the instrumental of PQTME was slightly different from the original one released in 1995 on the 2-track CD ? The first chorus has a softer piano, just like the English version of the song. It is weird !And did you know that alternate vocals from the original recording had been used ten years later for a playback version for french TV that was released on CD after that (the 500 choristes version). Weird, too ! 3 Quote
Davey84 Posted February 24, 2015 at 08:50 PM Posted February 24, 2015 at 08:50 PM I didn't know about the Instrumental (I never paid much attention to that ) but I did notice different vocals on the 500 Choristes version. The ending is different from the D'eux version. Are there more differences during the song? 1 Quote http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/daveyh84/incognito198701_zpsaaootxh1.jpgRick, ik hou van jou voor altijd!A New Day... has come 28/29 April & 2/3 May 07Antwerpen 13 et 14 mai,Paris 24 et 25 mai, Amsterdam 2 juinet Arras 7 juillet Chances Taken!!!How Do You Keep The Music Playing? - Celine Opening Night March 15th, March 16th
woodstock Posted February 25, 2015 at 09:49 AM Posted February 25, 2015 at 09:49 AM Oh yes, différences run through the whole song, from the very first sentence. It is such a pleasure to have another take of the original recording rather than a re-recording ! 1 Quote
comingback Posted March 28, 2015 at 08:55 AM Posted March 28, 2015 at 08:55 AM Today, TeamCeline celebrates the 20th anniversary of 'D'eux', the best-selling French album of all-time with more than 10 million copies sold worldwide. In February 1994, before developing the friendship they now have, Jean-Jacques Goldman, already a huge star in France, decided to write an entire album for Celine focusing on her love life (''Pour que tu m'aimes encore'', ''Je sais pas'', ''J'attendais'') and her professional life (''Destin''). The album allowed Celine to explore many new musical styles, including blues (''Le ballet''), rock ‘n roll (''J'irai où tu iras''), rhythm ‘n blues (''Regarde-moi''), gospel (''Prière païenne''), pop (''Les derniers seront les premiers'', ''Cherche encore'') and ballads (''La mémoire d'Abraham''). The album ends with the touching song ''Vole'' dedicated to Celine’s niece Karine, who passed away from Cystic Fibrosis two years earlier. 6 Quote
