It was on my list for Sinterklaas, but I got the regular version So I was like 'yeah I already got thís one!'.. But they will order it for me ^^

I finally have it!!

Think the whole package looks cool, a shame the pictures are a bit blurry :S

And that on the side the catalog number, is in the title.

 

The only thing is that i find it a pity we never got the 40-page booklet, wonder what would be in that

Also the OpenDisc doesn't work for me, are there many unreleased pics we can view on that site?

REVIEW, PART 2

 

OK...I finally had time to watch the DVD.

 

Le Sonia Benezra Special Dimanche (Sonia Benzera's Sunday Special)

The quality is pretty good, there are some glitches, but it's not bad at all. Celine peforms "Je sais pas", "Vole", and "Pour que tu m'aimes encore" as well as her duets with Jean-Jacques ("Les derniers seront les premiers" and "J'irai ou tu iras").

The interviews are fun and Sonia is very much excited about her guests. Her first interview on Quebec TV was with Jean-Jacques and she's thrilled to have him back. There are 2 interview segments, one with just Celine and the other with Celine and Jean-Jacques. We learn that it was Jean-Jacques who approached Celine about working together on this project.

 

The songs are playback, as are most on her album launches. It's a shame that they didn't include the whole show and that they didn't include the D'EUX album launch TV special.

 

The music videos:

Nothing earth shattering. "Pour que tu m'aimes encore" and "Les derniers seront les premiers" are just as they are on the ON NE CHANGE PAS DVD, and the version of "Je sais pas" on this DVD is the alternate version of the video. "J'attendais" is taken directly from the LAP DVD but they cut out the first verse of the song and start at the chorus, which I found quite strange. The LAP footage makes me long for an NTSC release of the concert.

 

SONY LEGACY, your releases get better and better! Keep them coming!

the dvd is just amazing!!! The quality is very good for something that's almost 15 years old haha!!!

i really hope we get more of these!! TCOML for example!! with album launch as dvd

 

but is there any other way we can get to the opendisc site? because it still doesnt work for me :-(

I know that we're not supposed to request MP3's of songs off of official Céline releases, but since some people have been able to access the demo of "J'attendais" on the OpenDisc and some of us who have actually bought the official release can't access it, is it wrong to ask for someone to upload to the Multimedia section?

 

Mods, feel free to delete this if it's a violation, but I'm pulling my hair out trying to get an HQ version of this demo, and OpenDisc customer service hasn't helped one bit!

I doubt it's a "Special Edition" since the price is set so low. Although...who really knows with Sony? They could simply slap a banner across the cover stating "SPECIAL EDITION," change the barcode number, and voila! LOL

What do you mean by "the whole show"? Did she actually sing more on Sonia Benezra?

Or did you just mean the European TV5 special with the small interviews, recoding sessions and making of of the PQTME video?

THIS is what OpenDisc had to say regarding the issue with not being able to access the Céline OpenDisc content on "D'eux". Anyone wanna try and make sense out of it? It is of no help!!

the problem you are talking about is known of our services, nevertheless, it is unfortunately not of our spring.

 

The titles you see during the importation or the listening in Windows Media Player or other are indeed fed in the CDDB database, itself supplied with the users.

 

So, you could modify this using your own media player like Winamp, Windows Media Player, or other but Opendisc® cant act on this.

What a bunch of morons!

They are basically telling you that the titles you see on your media player are wrong cause the CD is not recognized by the CD database.

That is not your question. You couldn't care less if song number 13 is mislabeled.

You're asking why you can't access to the open disc content! The open disc content is not on the disc itself, it's on their f****** website, and your CD is the key to get a granted access to that content. Harass them, they have to answer you and make it work.

When I access "OpenDisc," I get linked to the site to download Santana songs.

I got my copy today!

 

I also can't access J'attandais alternate version.

And I don't think that Regarde-moi was part of this TV special. Celine wears different outfit and from the beginning the host says that Celine will sing 5 songs. Regarde-moi would be 6th.

I truly do hope that a legit "Special Edition" of Live a Paris is released, but I have a feeling this isn't going to be it. Amazon.com's item page (via the link you supplied) states the item has 1 disc. With that said, I don't believe this is a "Special Edition." My gut tells me it's going to be a re-release of the album.

 

Besides, if Sony/Columbia/Epic/whomever was going to release a special edition of any of her French albums I'd prefer it to be 1 Fille & 4 Types, complete with demos, instrumentals, and a DVD of the TV special that was taped at The Colosseum.

I'm so bad! I peaked at a present! My aunt in Montreal got me the CD, but I only saw d'eux on the side (I didn't dare unwrap the whole thing). I hope she got the right one!! I already have d'eux

I got my copy for xmas today!

 

I put the CD into my computer, and the Opendisc feature worked perfectly! I entered my details to get onto the site, then clicked on bonus tracks and there was J'attendais!

 

It's strange how everyone else has problems...

I got it for Xmas, along with a used copy of the regular D'eux CD (one can always use a spare)! Listening to it so far, the remastered sound is great! There's an entire set of drums in PQTME that I've never heard before.

 

I had some problems figuring it out how to get to J'attendais, but I played with it and it worked eventually.

OK. For those of you who have had trouble, let me show and tell you exactly how I did it. Note: Macs may work differently than PCs

 

I entered the CD (not the DVD) into my computer.

 

the OpenDisk icon appeared: click on it

 

click on the orange OpenDisk icon

 

click the "enter" button

 

enter your information and click "submit"

 

the site should connect by itself

 

go to "audio" in the "your exclusive content" area

 

click on the "bonus tracks" tab in the upper right hand corner

 

click "play" and it should start!
