Belle Céline Posted August 22, 2009 at 06:53 PM Posted August 22, 2009 at 06:53 PM okay can someone please clear up the misconception that a lot of people on other blogs are claiming, they are trying to say Rene Charles and this new baby will be twins. They will not correct? Twins, identical atleast result from one egg splitting in two. Fraternal result in two eggs being released and fertlized at the sametime, correct? People on other blogs are trying to claim RC and this new baby are twins. They are not twins, identical or fraternal. Two eggs weren't not released at the sametime correct? I don't really know the details of IVF. So can someone please explain this so I can clear it up? “There’s nothing I love more than the romance of a night in the theater.”http://i39.tinypic.com/ws0due.png
Belle Céline Posted August 22, 2009 at 07:16 PM Posted August 22, 2009 at 07:16 PM (edited) Also I saw some comments on celebrity babies blog and I do not believe they are correct, I know they can't be. They claim that Celine told Oprah a few years ago on the show that the second embryo was a girl. I NEVER recall Celine saying that, and secondly sex organs aren't formed until months into the pregnancy so there is no way really they could know that the embryo was a girl correct? This is what I found on planned parenthoods site;; The sex organs are the same —neither female nor male— in all embryos until the seventh or eighth week. If a gene triggers the development of testes, the embryo develops as a male. If there is no trigger, the embryo develops ovaries and becomes female. minniemare5 Posted August 22, 2009 at 07:45 PM Posted August 22, 2009 at 07:45 PM I'm sorry I haven't had a chance to respond to the most amazing news!!! I am SO excited for Celine! I wrote her a letter and sent her a congrats card to Feeling Productions in Laval when I found out. I've written her several times before and even personally handed 2 letters when I met her during the tour, but I have never received a response. Maybe I'll get lucky this time. Regarding peoples responses to Celine being pregnant at 41 and Rene being a 67 year old father.... I am currently dating a man that is 31 years older than me. He was actually my boss for a year and half before we started dating and I had to quit my job because it is against company policy to date co-workers. I am 23 and he is 54. I never thought it was possible to love someone this much. I truly believe love has no age. We get along very well and actually have a lot in common. There was just so much chemistry there and I thought it was just a friendship, but it developed into something more. We have been dating for 8 months, and I think he is going to ask me to marry him. It has been really hard on my family because they think it's wrong. My mom thinks I am trying to follow Celine's life since I have been a fan for 16 years. I did not plan on falling in love with someone more than twice my age, and he didn't plan falling in love with me. Celine and Rene just give me the hope that it can work. I am not striving to be like them. If you look around, they are one of the few celebrity couples that are still together. I believe if your love has to go through difficult circumstances like age and the acceptance of others, than perhaps it is stronger than those who "have it easy", who lead normal relationships. My friends have all been very supportive of me. I figure if somebody makes you happy, then go for it. Yes it is abnormal and some people think it is socially unexceptable, but I would rather be with somebody who loves me with all of his heart and who I can trust, than someone my age who does not. Not to say I couldn't find someone like that who is my age, but the person I love is significantly older than me. If we do get married, we have talked about children, and we would like to have two of them. I know we will be loving parents that give our children as much as we can. This world is a scary place, and I really wish people would worry about themselves and quit critisicizing others. I can understand that it makes some people uncomfortable, but if I am happy and he is happy, I think that is all that really matters. Okay I'm done ranting about my own life. Again..congradulations Celine, Rene, and Rene Charles! Deborah

celínico_sin_remedio Posted August 23, 2009 at 02:24 AM Posted August 23, 2009 at 02:24 AM Here's two articles from our local newspaper...its not that great quality as its not a scan. This one was from Wednesday This was from Friday Wow... I love the fact that Céline is everywhere now... not yet in Spain, at least I've not seen any articles or anyone mentioning her pregnance on TV, but I'm sure sooner or later they will realize the BIG news. And btw... "the FIY singer"... I loved that on the second magazine photo they didn't write "the MHWGO" or "the Titanic" singer, but "the FIY singer" Also I saw some comments on celebrity babies blog and I do not believe they are correct, I know they can't be. They claim that Celine told Oprah a few years ago on the show that the second embryo was a girl. Me singing @ embryo "Avoiding chances", let's start with the second chorus: What do you say to avoid the chances? What do ya saaaaay to develop ovariieeees??? Always knowing that there's a Céline out, with a precious voice, you could inherit???What da ya say? What da ya say?And I've hold my breath for so long, for your mother to be pregnant; And I've thanked God for your existance, now that I know that you're inside her...But oh! come on! and do what, cool embryos do! And develop, develop, to a baby-girl, a baby-giiiiiiirl!!!-Chorus again--Final:What da ya say? What do you say?And If you argue with René-Charles, you could outsing him just... Actually I can see the baby gettin' back into the uterus if what he/she sees first is me singing... "No matter where you are, reach for your own star to realize the power of the dream" From miss Céline Dion to the world those with a will to listen, and not just hear

She heard about someone it happened to, so it is possible. But it doesn't mean it's happened to her, or that it's necessarily likely to. I'm actually thinking it's probably quite rare, since you don't often hear about people having identical babies, but years apart! As for fraternal twins, if RC and the other embryo had been in Celine's uterus at the same time, they would be, but since it's 8 years apart they're not, they're just normal siblings. Here's what I'm a bit lost with...everyone's saying it's the embryo from 8 years ago that she's pregnant with...but I'm not so sure? Her Doctor confirmed she used frozen embryos...i.e, more than one. So maybe the one she had left over from 8 years ago was one of them, but remember she and Rene also went back and made more embryos just a few years ago- so she may have had some of those implanted to, and then they wouldn't know which one (or two or three!) she's actually pregnant with right now. Does that make sense to anyone at all?
alvaap24 Posted August 23, 2009 at 05:01 AM Posted August 23, 2009 at 05:01 AM Well that sounds complicated, I didn't know they had "new" embryos (lol that sounds weird), but if that is the case, then I guess you are right, not that I know much about it.. but I get what you are saying.. http://static.rp-online.de/layout/fotos/Celine_Dion_Vegas_NVJJ1244d8062640354.jpgThere ain't a dreamThat don't have the chance to come true nowIt just takes a little faith..

I mean, that would make sense, but when would she have had the time to do the hormones, etc. to do that whole process?
Jacqui Posted August 23, 2009 at 08:21 AM Author Posted August 23, 2009 at 08:21 AM It was in 2006 or 2007 sometime. I'm looking for the source, which is proving difficult since the article was in French, but I promise I'm 100% sure they said they made more embryos, sometime during or after Vegas. Maybe someone else remembers where it was said?? I know I wasn't the only one who read it.
Scramasboy Posted August 23, 2009 at 08:49 AM Posted August 23, 2009 at 08:49 AM Basically, the egg and sperm were fertilized 8 years ago and frozen, I don't know anything about Celine and Rene fertalizing eggs anytime receintly. The fetus is not an identical twin to RC because the fertalized egg did not split and they did not take one of the [nonexistant] split eggs and implant it, and freeze the other. I believe now, that the fertalized egg that has been implanted could split and result in twins, but it is in no way RC's twin, unless the information we all have is false, I don't see how it could be. If I remember right, they had 4[?] seperate fertalized eggs, and they originally implanted 3 and wound up with Rene Charles. Can anyone confirm that? http://68.media.tumblr.com/0215da4dacb45f3375c9bf63cb89e9c3/tumblr_o3edqjdnpP1s2lrfeo1_1280.png

BLM Posted August 23, 2009 at 04:37 PM Posted August 23, 2009 at 04:37 PM Wow, found this article on the internet very interesting.... Boy or girl? Embryo tests give parents the choice * 30 September 2006 by Bijal Trivedi, Washington DC * Magazine issue 2571MORE than 40 per cent of fertility clinics in the US are allowing couples to choose the sex of their child, a survey conducted by the Genetics and Public Policy Center (GPPC) in Washington DC suggests. The testing method, called pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (PGD), was originally designed to test for severe or deadly diseases such as Tay-Sachs. It is typically performed by removing a cell from a three-day-old embryo, which is then screened for a range of chromosomal abnormalities or specific gene mutations. Seemingly healthy embryos are implanted in the womb; others are discarded or frozen. The survey, which covered 186 out of 415 fertility clinics in the US, found that around two-thirds of PGD procedures were performed to identify embryos at risk of birth defects or being miscarried. However, the survey also revealed that applications of PGD have broadened to include choosing the baby's sex, as well as screening ... I wonder if they already know the sex of the baby.

Hopefully in a couple of weeks Celine will be having her first checkup and hearing the babys heartbeat for the first time. Fingers crossed everything's goes well.

Unless they have a child with some kind of gentic disorder already I don't believe they do that kind of testing unless parents have requested it because they already have genetic disorders or birth defects from another child or in the family. Some doctors may do it if the parents request it but typically I don't think it is done unless absolutely medically needed. “There’s nothing I love more than the romance of a night in the theater.”http://i39.tinypic.com/ws0due.png
