Sony always released the French DVDs right after an album or event (Live a Paris, Au Coueur du Stade, One Ne Change Pas, Sur les Plaines) but the English DVDs were always released much later when the next English album was coming.

 

They released The Colur of My love DVD in 1995/96 (depends on country), Live in Memphis in 1998/99 or All the Way...a Decade of Song DVD in 2001/02.

 

So if they wanted to release the Taking Chances Tour DVD in 2010, I think they waited for Celine's next album (with her promoting it and by the way promoting the DVD).

 

But now as Celine is pregnant, it's impossible for her to release next English album in 2010. They should release the Taking Chances Tour DVD in November 2009 as they first planned (just for Christmas shopping).

 

I know that the A New Day...Live in Las Vegas DVD is still selling good in the U.S. and the Netherlands but it's off the charts in other countries. Come on Sony!

Julie says Céline learned the big news while shoping and being in a store. She became very pale and started to cry. The clerk promptly brought her a glass of water right away thinking Céline was going to faint....Céline was saying no no just a moment with her finger.... and then she couldn't help it and was shouting her happiness out loud : "'I'm pregnant! I'm pregnant! I'm pregnant" Céline shouted. Céline told Julie : "I think everyone in the store heard me and knew that I was pregnant" Céline didn't expect to have this news so soon Julie said. She was ectatic!

 

It was a big family day and a very emotional day for Céline she says because that same day it was also RC's first day of school. Julie says (laughing) that this first day of school was already a big step for Céline , not for René-Charles, but a lot more for Céline

 

Edit : It was also followed by a short discussion with a doctor who said there was no particular problem these day to be expected about Céline having a baby at 41! (or 42! on May 2010). This fertility specialist said it is 40% of his patient that have more than 40 years old. The chance of pregnancy over 40 years old are about 25% for those woman in fertility clinics and 18% actually have those babies. But he said not to panic because it's about the same for other woman pregnancies...

He's an American, but his name is Chinese obviously. He even uses his Chinese full name instead of an English first name and Chinese surname. So it's quite possible he was born in China and immigrated to America later.

Has anyone else noticed ...how Maman Dion found out about being pregnant with Celine on the day the twins (Paul and Pauline) started school, and now Celine finding out she's pregnant on the day that RC started school? Funny coincidence...although I don't belive in coincidences...it's heaven sent. I am SO happy for her. She deserves all this happiness and more. She's such a kind human being.

Not sure if this article has been already listed on here, but in this one it says Celine has been booked to appear at the Winter Olympics 2010 in Vancouver, and Vegas in June 2010, and that these plans will probably have to be changed now. Question: I knew there was a lot of talk about the w.Olympics and whether or not Celine would perform, but i never realised she had actually been booked for it??

Where was Celine while finding out, that she was pregnant?

 

Still in New York??

 

But it was also RC's first day of school and I read somewhere that he will be attending school in Florida I can't imagine that he would be alone on his first day of school in Florida and his mother/father in New York?

 

In another source I read that Celine & Co. were in Quebec ...

Hmmm I live in Vancouver and I don't recall any official confirmation and news that she's performing during the W.Olympics. Unless they really booked her but plan to release the ceremony lineup later. Anyway, I was really hoping for her to be here...but in February, she'll be 6 months along.... so who knows I'm not getting my hopes up anymore, since I'm just glad to know she's having her baby!

They only mentioned that they'll stay in Montreal in the summer only till the end of July & they were only briefly in NYC to do the IVF treatment and then go home to prepare RC to go to school. I highly doubt they would have been somewhere else if RC is going to school in Florida.
