I wonder if they will do this for each city? The stats and stuff and a photo from it? Oh I hope so I would love to see Columbus in the book!

I wish we knew if they were going to release it in the US... Is it only available in paperback? That's how it's listed on amazon.ca.

I would to but if worse comes to worse I will fork up the fifty or sixty some dollars and order it from amazon.ca I'd rather have it in english so I can atleast read the captions and not have to translate them online and get some half wrong translation.

I agree. It's strange how it's an English tour yet they release the photo book in French. Reminds me of ACDS...

Well, what reasons do you have to state this is an English tour? I would say that although the tour had an English name, it was still "bilingual", as Celine is a bilingual artist. What is more Gerard is French-speaking, that is why he's releasing his OWN book in his language.

 

Honestly, I don't mind buying the French edition, as there won't be that much text that it will be hard to go through. Anyways. let's hope an English version is on the way as well. It's always better for some people.

I didn't realise Gerard is french speaking, I though he was German lol. That explains why it's a french edition...

After refusing awards and speaking about a privilege singing in french in every french interview,.... maybe this is the last thing for them to show that "she wants to be" an french speaking artist, pour le monde francais....

 

Je préfère sa chansons francais, s'interviews en francais et bien sûr les paroles francais I love all her french stuff. And since i learn french ( not at least for Céline ) i love it even more!

I agree, a bit, with what everyone has said so far. I'd be happy to shell out 60 bucks for the english version, so I can actually read whats written, and it makes me sad that it's not a priority as well. It sucks that it's that way, but oh well I suppose. I'm glad to have any verson, of course, but I'd be happier with one that I could understand the captions and all more and I don't feel that that is me being one of those fans that is unable to please, I think I am being fairly realistic.

According to Raph from the French Section, on Sunday Celine will be featured in the French press with interviews to promote the book.

 

Plus, some TV promo is scheduled, too.

News from the Red Heads meeting with Gerard this weekend is that the book will be translated to English and promotion will start in the English speaking countries in the coming weeks! It'll also be available in Japanese which is cool. Thanks a lot to Fanny and co for finding this information out for us.

 

And I did ask about the book. It is indeed going to be printed in english and released in english-speaking countries, but he doesn't know when yet.

 

Also, the book is going to be released in Canada (in french) in October- Gérard will be there to promote it for a week.

Yay! I can't wait to find out a price here, I hope its not over forty or fifty dollars, because if I ask for this for a bday present there's no way my dads gonna shell out more than fifty dollars, if that for this. I don't know that he'll even be willing to pay more than thirty...so that means I may have to hope some people give me birthday monday and I get enough or I'm gonna have to beg and beg and beg. Hopefully by the time it comes out I will have a job and some money coming in. That way I can buy it myself if need be.

Tu m'étonnes qu'il y aura de la promo !!!

 

 

TF1, Paris Première, Canal, France 2... plusieurs émissions sont prévues et d'autres encore en négociation. Valérie Expert, Pierre Lescure, Yves LeCoq, Michel Drucker, Michel Denisot... devraient être de la partie !!

 

Des journaux télévisés étaient aussi projetés, Céline et Gérard Schachmès devaient jouer le grand jeu de la promo en binôme, ici en France mais aussi au Canada. Mais sa grossesse l'empêche désormais de participer physiquement à la promo, c'est donc l'auteur qui sera en charge de le promouvoir sur les différents réseaux !

 

Des magazines et journaux sont aussi prévus dans un temps très proche, mais la promo doit se prolonger sur plusieurs mois... jusqu'à Noel (forcément ! lol) !

 

Gérard doit aussi faire de la promo au Canada vers la mi octobre pendant une semaine.

 

 

En France, près de 15 000 exemplaires sont prévus et 15 000 pour le Canada. Avant même la sortie du livre, le Canada a DEJA DOUBLE la commande et passe donc à 30 000 exemplaires.
