Le photographe Gérard Schachmes a eu la chance de suivre Céline Dion et son entourage au jour le jour, dans l'intimité de sa dernière tournée mondiale, "Taking Chances", qui a débuté en Afrique du Sud par un concert au profit de la Fondation Nelson Mandela. Afrique, Asie, Australie, Europe, Amérique ; c'est à un voyage à travers cinq continents, vingt-cinq pays et plus de cent trente villes qu'il nous convie, en compagnie de 2,5 millions de spectateurs.

 

 

Il a rapporté de cette tounrée des images de concert exceptionnelles prises au plus près de l'artiste, des photos basckstage rares, de sa famille, de ses équipes, danseurs, choristes, musiciens et techniciens, des moments intimes de Céline avec son mari, René Angélil, et leurs fils, René-Charles. Tout est là, des promenades, sur la Tamise, dans un parc à lions, un safari en Afrique, jusqu'aux voyages dans l'avion privé, y compris l'arrivée des camions au petit matin dans New York et le spectaculaire montage de la scène.

The photographer Gérard Schachmes had the chance to follow Céline Dion and his entourage on a daily basis, in the privacy of his last world tour, "Taking Chances", which began in South Africa for a concert to benefit the Foundation Nelson Mandela. Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, America and is on a journey through five continents, twenty-five countries and more than thirty cities it invites us, along with 2.5 million viewers.

 

 

He reported that tounrée images taken exceptional concert closer to the artist, photos basckstage rare, his family, teams, dancers, singers, musicians and technicians, Celine intimate moments with her husband, René Angélil, and their son, Rene-Charles. Everything is there, walking on the Thames, in a park with lions, a safari in Africa, to travel in private aircraft, including the arrival of trucks in the early morning in New York and the spectacular assembling the scene.

I love that it is scheduled to be released on the one year anniversary of the last time I saw her... :wub:

 

I really hope they release this in the US, and soon!

Wow! Family pics! That's great! I love it that they won't only show her in public, during her concert etc, but in private too. You can really see how her face and attitude changing when she poses in private, with her family. :wub:

These are the other two. :P

 

The first pic being my 1st choice, obviously needing to be cropped etc, for the dvd cover.....

 

And the second pic would be my third choice.....

Ohh cool! I´m definetly buying it!

 

I do hate how her stuff is sometimes only released in french and sometimes doesn´t have english subtitles.

I hope the book will have english texts as well

Hm.. the photo is okay, but I'm not a fan of the placement of 'celine autour du monde' text..

 

 

would have loved for them to have gone with your 2nd choice Darren :D

 

I agree Frida, the font, and placement is a bit mickey mouse, but hey its a book about photos after all I suppose! lol :P
