Frida Posted November 20, 2009 at 05:59 PM Author Posted November 20, 2009 at 05:59 PM If the duties rate is not so ridiculous I won't mind too. Although the customers here had never charged me before. But every time I order from abroad I'm very nervous they would check my parcel and charge me a lot. What's the duties rate over there? Usually 30-40% (on shoes/clothes) I know, it does doesn't it? Totally! Thankfully I finally have a job, so I can start a shopping fund... oooooh, I like the sound of that (surprise, surpriiiise) Quote http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p234/celinedion_56/tcc2copy3_zps08f18352.pnghttp://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p234/celinedion_56/tccgallery-1.png
Bellamy Posted November 20, 2009 at 06:04 PM Posted November 20, 2009 at 06:04 PM Usually 30-40% (on shoes/clothes)About the same here. I think it's ridiculous. It would ruin a good deal completely. Davey84 Posted November 20, 2009 at 06:08 PM Posted November 20, 2009 at 06:08 PM (edited) I don't think it's legal (not on stuff sent from the states anyway), so I never ask the sellers to do so... But it is nice of them, it's an added bonus not having to pay.. Oh, and it was delivered to my door too, 99,9% of all parcels have to be picked up at the post office.. $26 in s/h = got here in 4 days AND delivered to the door.. amazing.. when I win something high on ebay, I do ask the sellers! Usually the cds are old, so why should i even pay taxes?! once I bought 10 something promo's for 250 dollars (including WFTM and NBBMH ) so it was a good deal, but cos the seller put that amount on the package I had to pay an additional 50/75 euros! that was just ridiculous!! the best thing is if they send it as a gift! But I don't want to go shopping either cause I can't afford the quality I want LOL (and I can't find it anywhere but in Stockholm either, so thankfully I never get tempted) Yeah, sadly at the moment, I can't afford much more than the basic high street stores. (as if I'd even find something to fit me anywhere else or even there...) Helsinki is the place to go for some quality/special stores in Finland. And most Finns actually take the boat over to Stockholm just to shop. I've been thinking about a little shopping spree over there in the next few months as well. Quote

I went to the store in Charlotte and told the clerk it was such a long trip from Asheville just for Nordstrom! He told me about the new Nashville store (thinking I had said Nashville, not Asheville). Is it bad that I'm reorganizing my closet again just to see all of my clothes I forgot I had? Last night I dreamt I went shopping and I found the cutest things and I was so excited. I woke, realized it was a dream and thought I needed to sketch what I bought haha. It was like the joys of retail therapy but realizing it could never happen when you awaken. Pretty therapeutic. haha Edited November 22, 2009 at 09:40 PM by ladylindsey Quote
