Now the US shipping service I use wanna pre-charge me $200 import clearance service even if there is no import clearance service at all. That's ridiculous.

If the actual Import Clearance Service fee is less than the import clearance fee estimated, no refunds will be made.

So if the customs didn't charge them at all, they would get my $200 for doing nothing.

 

I would ask them just ship it straight to me without using their stupid import clearance service.

I actually like it when it's paid in advance. Then I know exactly what my item will cost, and have the option to cancel the order if I think it'll end up being too much. I mean, why b*tch and moan about laws these companies can't control right? (On new items from stores)

But all my past orders were not charged by the customs at all. I'm sure over 90% are not charged at all. And no, I can't cancel the orders now. Cause my orders had been shipped to the US middle-man shipping service already. I just need it ship to me in China. Now the US middle-man shipping service wants to charge import clearance service in advance. And I had used the same service before. They didn't do that, and I didn't pay for the import clearance fee at all. Also they said they won't refund me if there's no fee happens after all. That's why I'm pissed.

What difference that does make? If I carry it across the border myself or if some postal serive does it for me? Here all goods above a certain amount has to be paid for, I'd just have to fill out a form and pay at the airport.

Actually the US is not the cheapest for designer stuff. The Europe is the cheapest for me. Cause I can get at least 12% tax back when I leave Europe. But on the contrary, I have to pay extra 7-8% tax when I buy it in the US. I prefer take my shopping vacation in the Europe, but my Celine vacation in the US.

The difference is less chance to be caught. All you need to do is get the stuff out of the box and claim it's been used. I know some will be caught by the customs if it's still sealed in the box. But I've never heard of them charge something not in a box.

Just got a Diane Von Furstenberg off of eBay at a great price (new with tags, 70% off retail), hope I can get it before christmas, the seller is away until dec 1st.. Might be a size too small, but I took a chance

I have a 24" iMac which I use for all my work, AutoCAD and office needs, but I desperately want a little MacBook pro when I start traveling around. I had a little Dell laptop for design school and it um died about a year later.

It's a short sleeved wrap model and the pattern is called 'Nocturnal View'. The lips are quite extreme, but it screamed love and happiness to me somehow so I couldn't resist If it fits I thought I'd wear it for Christmas with black tights, top underneath (a child friendly version, no cleavage ) and cardigan over... I really really love DVF's silk so I'm probably gonna keep it even if it doesn't fit LOL

Haha, I was about to ask if it what the material was made of but then I realised that 1) You're in india so it cannot possibly be a wool/cashmere blend, and then 2) I read it again and realised I'd read sweater not shirt Had a blonde moment LOL
