Taylor Swift has set another Guinness World Record

 

You might remember that Taylor was in 2009 Guinness Book of Records as First U.S. female to write or co-write every track on a million-selling debut album.

 

Well, now she has set another world record as Most Entries In The US Top 20 In A Year By A Solo Artist. The 2010 Guinness Book of World Records will be out on Thursday.

 

The country singer’s album Fearless, which includes Taylor’s six top 20 singles from the past year, including You Belong with Me, has enabled the 19-year-old to enter the famous record book.

Taylor Swift Makes History at Pop Radio

 

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Big Machine recording artist Taylor Swift has once again entered the history books, this time as the first artist ever to score two #1 records at Top 40 radio with a country crossover recording. Nashville based Big Machine’s unique partnership with Universal Republic has boosted Swift’s incredible pop radio reign that has seen her continue a trajectory of record-smashing proportions. Universal Republic spearheaded the non-country radio and video promotion efforts for Ms. Swift beginning at the end of 2007, implementing a crossover strategy that rocked the record books earlier this year. Taylor Swift's song 'You Belong With Me' has hit No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100 Airplay chart. It's the first country single to hit that mark in the 19-year history of the chart's use of Nielsen BDS-monitored data, according to Billboard.

 

The data showed an audience of 117 million for 'You Belong With Me' this week to beat out Black Eyed Peas' 'I Gotta Feeling'. 'You Belong With Me' also jumped up the Hot 100 singles sales chart, from No. 6 to No. 4. A fifth song from Fearless, 'Fifteen,' is at No. 16 on the Country Singles chart.

2009 American Music Awards Nominations

 

Former American Idol judge Paula Abdul joins American Idol season 8 runner up Adam Lambert and rapper Snoop Dogg in announcing the American Music Awards (AMAs) nominees from the Beverly Hills Hotel this morning

 

Announced as performs this year so far are: Alicia Keys, Black Eyed Peas, Jennifer Lopez and Adam Lambert who will debut his first single from his debut album set to be released on November 24th.

 

The nominations includes country singer Taylor Swift with 6 nominations, while Michael Jackson secured five nominations and Eminem received four nominations. Swift's nominations include Artist of the Year; Favorite Country Album (for Fearless); Favorite Female Pop or Rock Artist; and Favorite Female Country Artist. MJ was also recognized in the Pop or Rock Artist of Year category, Favorite Soul/R&B Male Artist and Favorite Soul/R&B Album (for Number Ones). Eminem's nominations include Artist of the Year; Favorite Male Pop or Rock Artist; Favorite Male Rap/Hip-Hop Artist; and Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Album (for Relapse). Rounding out the Artist of the Year category are Kings of Leon (one of three nods the group received) and Lady Gaga (one of three she received). Also receiving three nominations are T.I., Beyoncé and the Black Eyed Peas. T.I. will face off against Eminem and Jay-Z for Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Album, while Favorite Soul/R&B Album will pit Beyoncé against BEP and Jackson.
