I was expecting her to sound more hoarse, I think her vocal training is working! And her tone sounds nice again, which is important for me. I would happily have her ditch all the big notes forever if she can sound all smooth and get her flexibility back for good.

She ignored the high notes, sounded at times flawless and at times out of breath. But she's improving. Bravo!

Yeah Whitney's performance of the song was good, certainly better than I expected it to be. However the interview afterwards was awful. It was like she was on something and I thought she was a tad critical on her opinion of the contestants.

I saw her being bad before, i just expected her to be brilliant tonight for some reason!. But No , i really thought the whole thing was a night mare!!The singing and the interview after, but fair play to her for coming out and doing her best, i think her mistakes in the past are still affecting her now. :ermm:

Her voice wasn't that good plus it was obviously supported by a pre-recorded track. Oh and she messed up the beginning of the song. Take a look at : 0:46

I was pleasantly surprised :) Compared to her previous live performances I thought this was so much better :) Ok, so she's never going to be the Whitney of old but its so great to see her enjoying herself on stage, and she is definitely getting better vocal-wise :D If she continues to perform with anythink like that kind of energy then I might even think about going to see her :) And the song is definitely growing on me :) Edited by destin139

Why had she to ermmm, and say Practise, practise, practise....

 

You could tell Clive wasn´t all happy with her interview.

 

Whitney is clearly not able to sing this song live. :glare:

 

 

Her dress was a mess, and she did great by keeping on,

she had fun with the song though and she was all sweaty after that one performance.

I agree the interview was poor and that she was perhaps a bit unfair to the contestants. However on one hand it was also refreshingly honest.

I totally agree with you.

 

It was so awkward to watch. The whole thing. The interview was simply :mellow: :huh:

 

 

I really wanted to love her comeback - but it's just not working for me. It's a shame :(

I saw this on Whitney's Facebook page and she sounds MUCH better and she is really improving! I hope I will see her in Houston when she comes because I saw on Wikipedia they listed the North American cities but the dates werent set but its not there anymore but im sure she will come here!!

My tickets are for Helsinki. :)

 

And we totally got screwed with the ticket sale again. They lied that the tickets for the front floor are all sold out, which was supicious already, cause they didnt even go on sale online on monday when everything else did. And now, 2 days later, they're selling the front floor...for 40€ more than the back, but STILL. :glare:

If you enjoy singers who can't even carry a tune live then yes u should book tickets. :giggle:

I know she can't sing like she used to, but it's still Whitney, I'd like to have seen her.. Dolly, Celine, Madonna.. why not Whitney..
