Whitney's voice was bad on Oprah. I mean when she spoke, you can hear how coarse her voice was. So she can't sing on GMA was not because of the Oprah interview, but her voice was bad at that time.

The album has been released today in my country, Spain, and OMG I just love it!! Her voice changed, but so did Céline's voice, and its still inside her

 

My favourite tracks are I Look To You, A Song For You (This is a song and not Céline's one with the same title -boring! ), For The Lovers and I Got You (love this one!)

 

But I think the gem of this album is Call You Tonight... that's her new masterpiece

yes, Celine so nice!!! i was so happy to see her and say few words for Whitney, Whitney was touched!!!! my god, i love them both!!! i live you Celine.

 

 

about 2nd day interview, my god, it was amazing, so touching, so honest! when they started to talk 'who u love' i was crying myself together with them. it was simply amazing! great interview, bravo Oprah, bravo Whitney.

 

Whitney's performance was BRILLIANT! i believe it was the most emotional Whitney's performance that she has ever done, the Voice is back, or still coming back, but Whitney, you are in right direction , pls girl, keep it up!!!!

 

BTW, this is the most high rating Oprah show in Oprah history LOL slready Nielsen released stats , i hope WH will come back to #1 on BB200 next week again

I don't understand how anyone can think "the voice" is back. She's not anywhere near where she used to be. That performance on Oprah was her best in years for sure, but it absolutely pales in comparison to how she used to be able to sing. It's not the same voice. That voice will never be back no matter what. I really enjoyed the interview though, she was extremely candid and very humble. I want her to succeed with this new album, there are some great songs on it, but no way is her voice anything like it used to be.

I didn't see anything wrong with Calypso's comment there either, but I do think some people like to come into this thread (as well in the Mariah thread) and automatically try to compare Celine to Whitney or constantly just say the same negative comments. If you basically never like Whitney's (live) voice, what's the point of even coming into the thread and commenting on it? That gets just as annoying. Just avoid the thread.
