I noticed on Amazon that a new release of D'eux will be released on 5 November 2012 with the new catalogue number 88725477582 (EAN is 0887254775829). So I think it might be the re-release like previous albums These Are Special Times in 2008 and Live a Paris in 2010 with a new catalogue number and the new Sony Music logo.

The member had posted that a relative or an acquaintance who worked for Sony had given him a copy. He even uploaded photos of actually holding the single. I remember salivating

Okay, As some of you may know, at the end of September, longtime forum contributor and fellow Celine collector Javito was blocked from posting or sending private messages. He was given no explanation as to the reason why and he is adamant that he did nothing to break any rules. Despite repeated attempts to get information from the admins, he is still none the wiser.

 

Now we all know that Jav has an opinion on the direction Celine's career has taken of late and naturally not everyone shares this view, some may even find it offensive to Celine and to them as fans that he says these things. Now I'm not here to say who is right or wrong in this area, probably neither side is. But what I and many more object to is the removal of Javito's right of free speech, regardless of wether some people dislike his opinions or not.

 

The forum has an ignore function and anyone can use it to hide the posts of members they do not care to listen to. Javito, to the best of my knowledge, is not spreading hate, he has not used foul language or personally attacked another member. He is simply a fan who is frustrated that Celine's career is not going the way he believes it should. You may not agree with him, but how can any of us here say that someone's opinions should be silenced if they do not relate to our own? That is not democracy and a forum should at least attempt to be run democratically.

 

By blocking Javito in this way from posting on Celine topics, the admin have also taken away a very valued member of our own section here. Javito has posted many wonderful items and has been a great source of information for many collectors through the years. He has also been a member who consistently acknowledged the items that the rest of us collectors have posted on here. Not only that but he was responsible for sharing with us the orchestral version of Nature Boy, which we may never have heard if it wasn't for him. Over 400 members thanked Javito for sharing that. Where are those 400 people now?

 

I would ask all of you collectors out there to join in supporting Javito by adding the "WHY HAS JAVITO BEEN SILENCED?" details to your signature. This was an initiative that Alex_Incognito came up with and I think it is a brilliant idea. (If you don't know how to do this then just send me a pm for instructions) Even if you don't do that, show support by visiting Javito's profile page and maybe leave him a little comment. Finally, may I add, this is not just about Javito. It is about all members who have an opinion, who have a voice and who deserve the right to maintain their ability to post. Any one of us could be the next to be blocked, all part of an initiative by the powers that be to create a Utopia out of this forum. But Utopia's have no place in a public forum. OK, I don't know what's the reason for blocking/banning Javito but I've been talking to him here, on the forum and privately, for many times, and even if we not always agreed with my opinions and points of view, he has never ever been disrespectful and always tried his best to help me and the other members here with informations and goodies, like the unique orchestral version John mentioned!

 

Sorry for my tone that may sound kinda pissed but, in fact, that's exactely what it is as I really don't understand what's going on here recently and also among many Céline fans in general. There seem to be many small combats and wars...

 

How sad is that???

it all depents in what condition it's in.. But let's say new or with minor wear you really have to think around the €25 - €35 euro.. if it's not more... I know I got mine for around €30,- a couple of years ago.

They're just bootlegs. They are worthless unless you are personally interested in them. Some people collect these kind of things. Personally I don't see the point.
