I think I need some help here.

I bought the SA Deluxe edition from WOWHD and I just noticed now that on the CD itself it doesn't say "made in..." normally its always printed on the CD itself. The © info on the CD dos say Sony Music Canada, Sony Music France. The Catalog nr is: 88725457462. Can any of you help me to find out from what country this CD comes from?

here's the pics

as u can see on the back cover it doesn't say made in where at all.......

and on the disc holder part i pointed out that there's some mistake on printing! as it's white (nothing) on top .....

i also notice the package and the booklet paper they use r not good as other versions at all!!!...

so anyone know where this is from???

My copie ordered at WOWHD came from Hong Kong, but I don't think it's fake, nor I noticed any quality deffect on it :wtf:

And how can you tell it is from Hong Kong??

And I'm not saying the one I have is a fake but it is a little bid odd that there is not a made in anywhere on the disc nor the package..

Haha, my copies are still sealed... That's pretty weird. I think it looks like a few first copies were misprinted and it's quite possible due to the fact what happened with the booklet as we all know. But we need more information, especially all the details from the rear (playable) side of the disc.

Does the french (european) edition say where it's made? The canadian edition doesn't mention where it's made either.

Hmmm. My edition is the one sent by WOWHD and doesn't say where its made, but it would be hard to believe that a big online store which is dedicated to sell everything related to media like CDs, DVDs and videogames, would be selling a counterfeit edition of an album.

Maybe this edition was made for worldwide distribution, since Sony would definetly know that this french album wouldn't arrive physically to every country, so they made a "neutral" edition for online and sale distribution? :hmm:

That's really weird. I also got my normal edition from an online seller, and the back leaflet and the CD both say Made In Taiwan. :mellow:

haha but that's probably because that's the taiwanese edition, Taiwan had its own edition for the album, just like Canada, Korea and Thailand that I know.

i'm glad that people like Taiwan version!!! lol

for Canadian version even if it doesn't say where it's made u still can see the address that says Toronto so it's CA version!! lol

but the one i have it says nothing...... and on the back of the disc in the inner circle there's no barcode like others it only got like IFPI and the cat number...... strange though....

even if it's misprint the paper quality they use it's not as good.... even Canadian version is better (normally if u find previous releases.. canadian version's paper quality is not that good!! lol)

if it's fake they made a really really good job on it lol!!

Even if it would be for the international market it still needs to made somewhere. So there always need to be a "made in.."somewhere. In the old days CDs for the EU market always where made in Austria even though it would be released under the epic logo for the UK. This CD doesn't mention at all where it's made.. and as far as I know it can't be "made on the moon" by E.T..

I had my One Heart CD and it said Made in Costa Rica, so I was looking for it yesterday to see its catalogue number, but I can't find it anywhere! :mellow:

Does anyone have it? I believe I left it in my country, which is weird, as I thought I had brought all my Celine CDs.

well my copy of SA doesn't say where it's made, and that's the whole problem of knowing where it's coming from. Also on the playable side of the EU version is IFPI L555 Sony DADC A0102032824-0101 15 A02 and a barcode while on the unknown verson is IFPI LK76 21006210 and the catalog number no barcode and no mention of Sony.

IFPI LK76 is a code for manufacturing plant in Malaysia. :flowers:

For example, last week I got the European deluxe version of Carly Rae Jepsen's album Kiss and there is "made in Japan" printed on the front of the disc, however this release was manufactured in Germany by EDC.

indeed! After some googleing I found a list with all the IFPI codes really need to put that in a word doc. And on this list I found out that the EU releases are still being made in Austria..

Again. SIDs are more important then barcodes, if we want to know where the disc was actually made. In this case, LK76 indicates the Malaysian production facilities, so your unknown CD of Sans attendre was physically mastered and came out from Malaysia.

Thanks!! That was of the utmost interest, I finally could tell a Falling Into You signed edition that I have which includes an extremely rare picture disc is actually genuine, made in SMAustralia! :wub:

As I looked trough my collection I found out that some of my CDs don't have a SID and that CD singles don't have any as well.. is this normal?
