i used to have a special items box haha but then i got so many bloody 'special items' that i could no longer use it hahaha - all my singles are together with promos - albums and car sleeves are seperate. i order mine in release date as well but i put like with like also all the misleds together etc. p.s id consider AWTBI as from taking chances not complete best coz complete best is a compliation album.

 

Would you consider My Love a TC single even though it's from the MLEC comilation?

 

And I'm keeping my card sleeve and albums sepearate too. But although you put the Misled singles together, do you just have everything else orderd by date/number, for example, do you still keep singles such as THLIL in with all your other 1999 singles even though it's a LTAL single or not? I know Davey keeps everything by album but I want to know what you do so I can make a final decision on how to organise my stuff

hahaha i keep everything by release date primarily- with the exception of things like misled re-releases etc coz it was re-released quite quickly and it just looks better keeping them together - id say secondly id order by album - such as to love you more - issues have been released over a number of years and from different albums ....so id put them with which album that specific issue came from i.e

 

 

the japanese promo i have is from 95 and in japan was part of the colour of my love album so that goes with my 95 singles in the appropriate order ......but the US promo was for it being included on the lets talk about love album in 97 - so that goes with the 97 stuff with the let's talk about love stuff. if you catch my drift.......because both the misled releases are from the same album they can go together in my eyes.

 

with treat her like a lady i personally have 'i'm your angel' singles before them coz they were released before and there's a good albums worth of promos that accompanied these are special times before randomly treat her like a lady was released in 99.

 

its up to you really.

 

 

regarding my love - id say again coz of the cover art its a My love - the essential collection single coz it was marketed as such. If it had 'taken from taking chances' on the back id say it was from TC but it was the single to promote the compilation album -

 

With A world to believe in im not sure if it was used to promote complete best or not? so u might consider it a complete best one after all but coz one promo deffo was for TC albums benefit and one was more for the duet - id say you could put them together coz theyre so close in release date .....

I got both AWTBI singles from HMV Japan. I'm not sure how much international shipping is because I just got free postage to Japan where my dad picked them up for me. There's loads on eBay from China and Hong Kong but there's probably fake.

I got my copy today and I really think this one is fake!! I believe that the seller has copied, or printed the cover himself and made the disc himself too!

 

does anyone have good quality photos of a genuine promo?!?! Eddie said that his promo wasn't a cd-r!

damn it's so hard to tell... does urs have a cover in one bit, or is there a 'dotted' line at the sides? mine is one piece... the texts aren't that crips, a bit blurry, but yours seems to be a bit blurry too

Hey i got a copy too from this seller,

 

wasnt sure myself but i compared it to my eyes on me and my love promo cds and the disc is very simalr. Remeber itr is only a Promo lol I hope mine isnt fake and i hope ur isnt fake aswell. the writing is a little blurry and the cover is in one piece as you said. Lets pray they are real! BTW if you look at the sellers other items they do look genuine, so i dont know weather to doubt the seller or not. One thing is for sure, he seems to have a hand full of copies of this CD. So who knows.

I think you're okay Davey. I've scanned mine. It has a Pro Motion sticker (in yellow, didn't scan well) on the actual CD box so I'm pretty confidant about it's authenticity. Don't know if others on the forum have this sticker. It would be a lot of trouble for someone to fake a sticker to put on the box, pretty pointless too!

 

As said before, mine is all in one, there is no dotted lines (which I know is more usual) Also the paper quality is thicker than you would normally find.

One thing I have noticed, which may help is that the words I'M ALIVE on the front of the cover are very, very slightly embossed. You'll maybe notice this if you run your finger gently along it or angle it toward the light. The artists names above are not embossed at all. I would agree that the type is a little blurry.

 

By the way, I didn't get mine from musicprincess, have it quite a while now.

 

Ignore the marks on the cover, this is a result of the scan, the cover is flawless in real life.

Just a clarification, the promo itself is not fake...but some of the copies might be.

and I took a look at mine, and the letters were embossed too! if you slightly brush your finger along it, you feel that the letters are 'on top of' the paper!

 

But John, Eddie, can you tell us if the cd itself is pressed on a cd-r (blue back) or if it's a normal cd (silver back)???

 

it could be a real promo, even though it's not like a nineties promo, cos we all know they don't wanna spend money anymore on promotion!

While it's not the best quality promo ever... considering some of the shyte we have seen in recent years, it's an artistic masterpiece!

 

In future they should come with holograms like a Disney DVD, then we won't need to worry.

By the way, how much did you pay for it? (I probably don't want to know though)

Just because he has a 0 rating doesn't mean, he's a dodgy seller you know.

 

The really special and unique thing about this is that judging by the photo it is a discontinued mirror image version of the dvd, and Celine and Rene have also gone to the trouble of signing it as if looking through a mirror. Either that or the seller couldn't even be arsed to take a bit of time to scan a decent photo for ebay. But that can't be the case surely

 

P.S. I reckon you could buy they're marriage certificate for cheaper than that, they both signed that too!
