American Limited Edition (2002) with the sticker on the cover as shown above- TGR extended

American Collector's Edition (2008) with the gold banner on the cover saying collectors edition - TGR extended

European Special Edition (2002) with the grey slip cover as shown above - TGR standard

Also there's a buy it now on this on ebay at the moment, clearly showing the grey lip (though it does say it is a stock photo)

It's pretty cheap, here's the link:

What about the European Collector's Edition (2008) with the gold banner on the cover saying collectors edition? Does that have extended TGW??

Posted
oke, even though it's hot in my room and now I have it even hotter, I managed to get the 2 USA LE and CE. The one with the sticker is definatly the USA Limited Edition (2002). The USA Collectors Edition (2008) also has the longer version of TGW (4.04)! I am not sure about the European CE though, cos I don't have it! :P but I think it's the short 3.29 version.

I was loooking at my collection today and I noticed that Ziggy (1993) has an earlier cat. no. than L'amour existe encore (1991), even though it was released about 2 years later. I also noticed that the Immensite number is before Taking Chances, despite it being released a year later.

Why is this?

I'm not sure that catalogue numbers are neccessarily that sequential. Also, for example, Ziggy was an Epic release, LEE was a Columbia release, so maybe they number differently. You must have a lot of time on your hands today Tim!

Glad you got the CD, hope it arrives as described, did the seller confirm?

That might be why, but both Immensite and Taking Chances are both Columbia...

And yes the seller confirmed, so I bought it. :D

But, Tim, Immensite (the promo) was released before Taking Chances.

Really? On wikipedia it says May 14 2008, but then I suppose that was the digital single

Thanks Der_Griffon!

Edit: Is there a chance that the LAEE card single was indeed releaed after Ziggy, meaning that the numbers are correct? I'm certain that Ziggy was released in 1993, but my LAEE card single has 1991 and 1993 on the back, so maybe it was released later...

Ziggy was released before LAEE! Céline didn't have much succes before Ziggy in France, but Ziggy went to no 1 and then they decided to release LAEE in 1993! the year 1991 C means, that the copyright to the song orginates from 1991, the 1993 C means that the single was released in 1993 :)

The "L'amour Existe Encore" French CD single was released in 1993 (or early 1994 according to Wikipedia). Notice that it has the same (or similar) cover photo as "The Power of Love". I'm not sure of the exact dates, but it's quite possible that it was after "Ziggy". It was definitely not released in 1991.

Thank you, you lovely people. I didn't see on Wikipedia where it said '1994 French CD single'!! :blushing1:

Can someone answer this for me? According to Wikipedia, OOR (661450 1) was released on November 14th 1994, and Calling You (661033 1)on December 19th. How come the numbers are out of sequence here, or were the Calling You singles just made before but released afterwards?

Sorry, it's just that I can't decide whether to order my singles by number or wikipedia's release dates? What do you do?

I put my singles on:

album-->order of release ---> country; like UK, Europe,Canada,USA,Japan the rest, and per each country the singles are by number :)

I think that's quite a good idea!

So in your collection, THLAL would be after the previous LTAL single, even though it was released a lot later... :)

Davey, do you keep the albums with the singles too? For example, do you have the ANDHC album, then all the ANDHC singles, then OH etc..? And do you put card and maxi singles togther? I find I can never find them when I do that so at the moment they're kept separate.

Edited by ShuttleDiscovery

yeah, I kept them like that, otherwise, for me, it would be too much mingled! I have it like this: TR,TH,MHWGO,I,THLAL; ZS,ONCP,SISDA; IYA etc ;)

No, I keep my albums separate, cos otherwise it would take up too much room! i recently bought 2 wooden cd frames and i have the cards and plastic ones in them. I placed my cassettes on top, plus the bigger card sleeves that didn't fit and the japanese 3"s, but now it's getting to crowed already :blushing1: :giggle:

Cool! Thanks Davey. I think so far all my singles are already in album order, but I can't decide whether AWTBI and AWTBI:HF are TC singles or Complete Best singles!?

Posted
:hmm: I have it after the normal AWTBI single, but complet best was released after TC and before ML, so it's no difference! LOL

Oh yeah! So it should go TC, AWTBI, AWTBI:HK and then ML. :) Where does TLYM (Dance Mixes) go? I can't decide which album it is!!

And I've just put my card singles in with my maxis, and it looks stupid cos there's all these little gaps and you can't see them or get them out very easily, so I think I'll keep them separate forever...

hmm I put it after JSP live, cos for me TLYM is from Live a Paris :P LOL

Last question (I Promise!): do you keep all of the same single together? For example, there is the Europe release of One Heart, then there are a few releases in between before the UK One Heart singles were released (like HYEBIL etc). Do you keep all the One Hearts together?

Thanks Davey!

Hm, since I don't have as many CDs as Davey, in fact I am light years away from such a collection, I do put them together (promos, singles, albums) ordering them by release date. Meaning that the leading single comes before the album, and then the others follow. What I do not keep together with the other things are those, which do not pass together in size and volume, such as the special editions of 1F&4T, D'Elles, UB, etc., which I 'exhibit' in other places. Yeah I just have a shelf where I have all the special items. :)

i used to have a special items box haha but then i got so many bloody 'special items' that i could no longer use it hahaha - all my singles are together with promos - albums and car sleeves are seperate. i order mine in release date as well but i put like with like also all the misleds together etc. p.s id consider AWTBI as from taking chances not complete best coz complete best is a compliation album.
