Sony already made enough money with those songs in the last 10 years so it's smart to reduce the price and sell this CD during Valentine's and during her movie release... These are the last known numbers for the two albums. Taking chances has sold 1,055,000 copies as of August 2009, but it has certainly reached 1,100,000 copies by now, which is really great considering the lack of support and of hit singles! So certainly 10,000 copies sold again this week! 2x Platinum, here we come! Taking chances has sold more than 1,000,000 copies across Europe and isn't certified Platinum! Will it happen one day? Same thing about MLEC, it has sold at least 900,000 copies across Europe, and with its new life in the UK charts it will easily reach 1,000,000 copies in hard sales! I'm waiting for the Irish certifications and I hope it will be recertified at least 3x platinum after being certified 2x platinum in 2009! But unfortunately it didn't reenter the B200 in the USA! For example, during Valentine's Day time Whitney's new album was offered at 7$ in USA but it didn't gain any sales boost.
