Radar is one of the standout tracks from Blackout. i'll always be frustrated that it never got its shot, and so was Break the Ice.

 

Agreed. I love "Radar" and I so wish it would have been a single from the album. Another favorite of mine from Blackout is "Ooh Ooh Baby." Great fun music!

I disagree. Take a listen to "Shadow" from the album, In The Zone. Heartfelt, emotional, and not overly produced. You can actually hear HER voice. The same with "Everytime." The same goes for "That's Where You Take Me" from the Britney album. It seems to me that Britney sounds best with ballads when the producers don't f*ck with her voice. She may not have a spectacular voice like Celine, but she also doesn't have the worst in the world.

I also agree with Joseph. Her voice has indeed improved over the years. The outtakes "Let Go" and "State of Grace" show an immense vocal talent that Jive doesn't want Britney to be associated with.

 

I think Britney has a much better voice than both Janet and Jennifer (RIP Jennifer, wherever your career is).

Janet's voice is at its worst now. but when you compare how Janet sounded during her *cough* vocal prime *cough* during the janet. era in 1993 to Britney's voice, i really think there's no point of comparison between these 2 artists. just try to listen to Any Time, Any Place, What'll I Do, Where Are You Now, and especially Again, and you'll know what i mean. Britney never delivered that kind of vocal performance. Brit's performances of her ballads always puts her to shame. she struggled a lot in reaching her high notes, and fails miserably. she always sounds like a 3 year old girl screaming for candy.

 

on the positive side, i do enjoy her albums. i have all of them except the remix album. my fave would have to be Blackout, which i believe her only "true" masterpiece. i don't think she can top this album. Break the Ice, Radar, Get Naked (I Got a Plan), Heaven on Earth and Ooh Ooh Baby (did anyone notice it sounds a lot like So Happy Together? ) are all fantastic.

I totally disagree. It's obvious that you haven't SEEN her perform "Everytime" or "Shadow" live in concert.

The HBO Special sucked, they drowned it out, but when I saw her live it was chilling.

 

A 3 year old girl, s'il te plait. Though, I take it with a grain of salt, as normally your posts are more towards the negative side.

i heard this song for the first time the other day and although i really dont like it right now, i have a horrible feeling thats its gonna be the kind of song that grows on me, much to my annoyance, until I love it in spite of myself!

actually I was suprised and impressed at britney's star search performances when she was a little girl. looked like she was going to grow up to be a belter.
