it being a Quebec only release, they have never expected such attention.

 

It's actually been released across Canada. I don't live in Quebec and I went ot my local store and they had copies there. Grant it they didn't have much as I live in an mainly english speaking city but they still had copies.

I just got an email from Amazon CA saying that they're TRYING TO OBTAIN my item.

Just cancelled my order with Amazon, because miraculously TEAM CELINE has it for CHEAPER!

And the shipping 4-16 days is only $19,99 to France!

I did same thing! The only difference shipped to USA - Amount to be charged: $23.89 - include shipping. :yes:

It didn't say that it was coded for region 1, it just said that it's NTSC, which is not the same.

 

I am not changing to the super expensive Boutique order yet, I want to hear from somebody, who's got it from there first.

Isn't there any email adress where we can ask for a euro release? maybe if a lot of people ask for it, they are more willing to release it here!!??!!

 

and Del said it's region 1, he said that that's written on the back of the dvd! :shrug:

Oh my! I think I'll do the same, although it's not cheaper. On amazon it was 21€, on the boutique it's almost 29€ for me :confused: The shipping costs are totally abusive

it's on ebay aswell, but quite expensive, why would anyone bid more than 60dollars, if they could do buy-it-now for half the price :D I think I'll wait until February when I can pick up my copy in Canada :D

Exactly Davey...its so unfair. :(

Its silly really as they could sell way more, if they did english subtitles on her french dvds..... I mean this day in age, its not hard to do!!

next time you talk to your sony contacts, you should tell them this! really I don't understand why we don't get subtitles of french specials and concerts! even AND and the bonus disc at AND...LIL has subtitles, even in the most weirdest languages! though most of the world speaks english.. but subtitling french... :evil: oke i'll stop now :glare:

 

Davey, I passed this onto my contact at Sony today, who will put this to the relevent people... so lets wait and see, lol. :)

Many many region 2 players can be made region free with a simple remote hack. Whats the make & model of yours, I'll have a look and see if I can find one.

I got my copy from Ebay for €22 including p&p, so it doesn't have to cost the earth. May still take forever to come mind.

Which payment cards does the Celinedion.com boutique take? Is it just Mastercard or Visa?

So based on that I'm saying it's region coded

Why HAS there be region coded discs I don't get it!! :down: I will soon have to buy a "multi-region-dvd player" (or whatever they are called) cause there are plenty of things released only in North America that I would like to get. The only thing is, that I suppose they cost like billion dollars (no I'm not exaggerating).

 

Let this dvd be released in Europe too! Let's now all send our wishes to Sony and maybe they will start to consider it.. :shifty:
