I never noticed this before on the DVD, but all along the front of the stage facing Celine are TV screens with the lyrics just like a karaoke machine!! :sofunny:

It is indeed the thing that we do not pay attention!!!

When we live a show!!! Lol!!!

I think that these screens were made also more for the duets than for Céline, also:) lol!

So basically the DVD is North America Region 1, but if you have a multi-region DVD player then you're fine. If not, you may be able to find a code on the internet for your DVD player model that you enter using the remote to unlock it and make it multi region. I did this and now I can watch anything!

They were talking about the show of course. I already did a translation of what they were talking about in the car. I think you'll find it here on page 15.

She's not avoiding eye contact imo she's just looking at the teleprompter for the words of the songs. Céline does not sing this song on tour and hasn't sing it for a long while. As for backstage he's the one who takes her arms toward Ginette so she does not miss her on her way to the car waiting for them. Garou and Céline(and René) see each other from time to time, for Ginette and Dan it will be probably years before they see each other again. Garou is not being manage by René anymore(he was through Mario Lefebvre one of René's associate for the last 7 years or so) because Garou wanted to start his own production company for one and diversify his business having a restaurant and other project in mind for the years to come. They are all still good friends and nothing happened I don't think except for differences in carreer planning that made Garou wanting to go on his own and produce her girlfriend for instance a french singer called Lorie with his new production company call "Wolfgang production" if I recall it well. Of course it was Garou's idea not René's. He wanted Garou to stay with them I think but Garou wanted to do a lot of different other things not only singing so..

 

There's always been a lot of chemistry between Céline and Garou it's obvious and it seems like many people fantasize on good or bad things going on between them. I find it very funny. They've been good friends for many years now and I think it will remain that way. Garou will always be a good friend of both René and Céline. Garou said recently that Céline was like a soul sister to him and that he was very grateful for what he experienced watching René at work over the years and all he learned through their collaboration and relationship that will help him for sure in his future career.

Garou is a good singer with an interesting voice. Still, listening to Garou's "les plaines" performance, I am concerned for the condition of his voice. It sounded extremely hoarse and strained. He struggled not only with specific notes, but with whole sections of songs that were once easy for him to sing. "Seul" was a very hard song on the ear, as he tried to shout his way through it. Of course, this did not work.

 

Garou should see a good voice doctor to correct any problems and before any permanent damage is done. He should also invest in a good vocal coach.

Yes I also noticed his voice was very strained, even at the start of the song, as he struggled to hit "J'ai sorti la grand voile" and "J'ai trouve mon etoile".

Maybe you have read those magazine :giggle: because I've never heard of Garou having a serious vocal chords accident in 2004. I would also like you to elaborate on that if you could. Where did you heard that? What's that all about?

I finally got mine

 

OMD it's wonderful!! i've watched it non-stop for several days, and it DOES smell like play-doh :sofunny: i remembered reading about it here lol

 

ok so i'm sorry i haven't read the whole thread...is there already a transcript out there for the rehearsals part. i get some of the jokes like when they are in the studio with Mes Aieux and Rene wants to go eat ....my French is not in top shape right now and since we don't have subtitles is there any chance someone could explain for example what did Marc say about Celine before he sang with her? and then she says something in the same subject at the end of the song but i don't quite get it.

 

i just want to say i LOVE this DVD...the whole thing. when she sings with Zacary Richard and when he's talking about hurricane Katrina and how Celine was the only brave one who would speak out what other Americans wouldnt dare to say... oooo

 

the part with her brothers and sisters is priceless...just the whole thing...and oh i can see Helene, JP, Tam and Steph in the audience!! i'm like wow!! familiar faces!!

No, the DVD is Region 1 as it's from Canada. However if you have a multi-region DVD player it will work fine, or like I've said before in this thread, you may want to look online for a hack to unlock your DVD player to make ot multi-region... :)

Comme je vous l'avais annoncé, le concert de Boston ne sera pas édité avec le show de Montréal. En effet, il ne s'agit pas d'un projet autour de la tournée "Taking Chances Worl Tour" de Céline, mais vraiment autour du show unique donné à l'occasion des 400 ans du Québec.

 

Voici ce que je peux d'ores et déjà vous donner comme infos. Il y s'agira deux éditions de ce DVD, l'un simple et l'autre collector. Dans l'optique de ne léser aucun des fans de Céline, le contenu des DVD sera le même. L'édition collector bénéficiera d'un packaging plus élaboré et de goodies.

Les DVD ne comportent pas uniquement le concert. En effet, de nombreuses séquences permettent de suivre Céline avant et après le spectacle. L'occasion de la voir en famille, lors des répétitions, etc.. En tout près de 3h en compagnie de la star.

i like the sound of this! i wonder if there will be english subtitles. i hope the extra taking chnaces tour stuff is different than will be on the world tour dvd tho. im sure they have loads of footage to use. lets hope anyway!

So it's not the TC Tour DVD!

 

So I'm confused.. does it mean the TC DVD won't be released in May? Or that the french DVD will include the Montreal show + the Quebec 400th anniversary show ? :shrug:
