it was a cap , no towel.

But I'm desperately searching the town where it happend! so my hope is, that it is mentioned in this article. but i have no idea which language that is ...

 

I'm pretty sure it's Thai, might be wrong. But the picture isn't clear enough and the programs fail to capture the correct characters, so the translation makes little sense. Maybe we have someone here who knows the language and translates for us.

Yes it's Thai. The first line said Celine Dion, at first I read it "Chilin Dion" LOL

You know what I don’t get? Celine refused to do the Pearl Harbor song (a huge success) because she was on her break and pregnant with RC etc., BUT she supported Garou, recorded Sous Le Vent and even recorded a music video and perfomed the song live during an event! Why??? She wasted a huge opportunity with Pearl Harbor but went for Garou. It’s really a shame

Celine refused to do the Pearl Harbor song (a huge success) because she was on her break and pregnant with RC etc., BUT she supported Garou, recorded Sous Le Vent and even recorded a music video and perfomed the song live during an event! Why??? She wasted a huge opportunity with Pearl Harbor but went for Garou. It’s really a shame

 

I replied you in the IHTD topic, but regarding Garou, Garou was a friend, and he was under the wings of René to launch his career and his first solo album, so I guess it wasn't much of a work thing for her to sing with him, but done out of pleasure, especially considering she and René were the ones who wanted him to have a career as a singer after they saw him acting in the Notre Dame musical.

 

He was more a friend than a "work colleague", so not much effort on Céline's side to record and perform with him :)

Just wanted to add: she only had to perform SLV live once or twice. The Pearl Harbour song would've required a TON of promoting and traveling and she wasn't prepared to do that at the time.

That's no shame. She wanted to step back, enjoy life after the Titanic-hype and never really stopping since she was 12. And it's a little difference recording a song to help a new artist, than a major production of another predicted blockbuster which involved all the mediahype, travelling and presenting the song on every possible occasion.

I'm sorry I don't know. I have few Thai friends but none of them are Celine's fans. And they not good in English.

And I can't do that either, too many words gave me headache LOL

I thought it was also that she didn't want to be known as just a soundtrack singer, and this would have been another love theme for a "disaster movie," so she didn't want to chance her luck?

I'm glad she didn't sing There you'll be. The song is nice, but afterall a mixture of BYLM and MHWGO. In the MTV dairy 1999, she said that she don't want TITANIC II, because you can't top the TITANIC hype.

I don’t think the song would have been half as successful if Celine had sung it. Not because it wouldn’t have been great, we all know if would lol, but exactly that-comparing it to MHWGO, because it’s her singing another big movie song etc. Think it would have gone against her.

I heard it on the radio yesterday and began thinking about what if it was Célines song and I think it's perfect now. I'm not sure that Céline could have made it better.

I see you point. What I find interesting is that despite what Celine says she still went for Then you look at me (unfortunately the movie flopped) and didn’t stop with the soundracks after Titanic

I read on an Instagram comment that the video only had been produced for a France 2 tv special. I'm still searching if this information's correct.

No, everything happens for a reason. UBMH was the right song for Braxton, IDWTMAT for Aerosmith and TYLB for Hill.

Does anyone here remember if there are any official pictures from this video? Did she do any official photoshoot for this? So far I only have the video for the commercial and that's it.

 

I'm sure there must be some pictures taken while she was filming this video, but I wish they had done a full photoshoot while shooting this, her natural look and the beauty of the landscape well deserved it :wub:

look at her cheeks here, there is a clear difference to how she looks today. She must have had some kind of fat injection
