Celine did not sing the Beijing 2008 Olympics theme song

The theme song is a top top secret of the opening ceremony, with only less than 10 people knowing the truth all over China. They won't even tell a close friend...

 

But the vice director of the ceremony told something in an interview by a Chinese journalist Xu Gehui (许戈辉). The Vice director said that the song will be performed by two singers standing on a raising earth.

 

I just came back from the last rehersal of the opening ceremony tonight. And I saw the "earth", but I feel a little weird that the earth appeared long before the flame was lighted. Usually, the theme song should appear after the torch relay reaches its destination.

 

So it's totally a myth for all. We can only wait and see!

I don't think it would be a good idea for Céline to sing there. She would have to answer questions all the time, why she doesn'T boycott the games like many politicians because of the human rights situation e.t.c. It might hurt her.

 

AND I think it should be a chinese singer, I want to get to know the chinese culture in this ceremony, not just another American pathos performance (Even though I love those )
