Someone came forth with recordings of the studio work she did with Phil, 3 songs, and then sold them. A group of fans pooled some money together to buy them from this seller, so it was more of a private sale than a leak I guess?

Me too so badly :cry: ! Since i heard about thoses tracks on this forum like in 2005 (how time flies god!). Hopefully we got the chance to hear the snippets of the three songs on Youtube, which was something unimaginable like 3 years ago. In the comments of the video, it says 3 more minutes of the song are missing.

I'll just say that once something has leaked on the internet is very difficult to erase it completely. The songs are very hard to find but they are out there

What you all need to realize is that there are MORE tapes within our reach that have not yet been obtained. One of these tapes contains a version with a choir, and is likely to be the “final” mix. There are also instrumental tracks and additional vocal takes. If anyone leaks what we’ve already purchased, then they are severing our contact with the person who sold us the tapes and trusted us in the first place. GONE! Just like that! Forever! Is that worth it? Absolutely not.

 

Never before have the fans had the opportunity to hear multiple studio takes from any Céline song. Now since everyone has waited for 25 years, they can wait 10 more years as far as I’m concerned (or however long it takes) until we’re able to negotiate every last take from those sessions. It’s going to cost a lot, so if you’re actually willing to contribute a few hundred/thousand dollars, then fine… the more the merrier! But if all you’re going to do is call us “selfish” while we do all the heavy lifting, then I would encourage you all to sit back, STFU and have a little more respect .

Holy crap! According to the YouTube comments, people paid $12,000 for these unfinished, sounds-like-they're-from-a-90s-cassette-tape, recordings? I'm shocked.

I get your point and I understand the reason an agreement has been signed by the buyers not to leak the tracks, especially one of the buyers had to travel to get the tapes. Are these tapes from the same source? Why weren't they offered before? To me it sounds like the source is dangling things in front of fans, why not just offer the lot and be done with it?

I like the ABM video, but they should have released the piano version video. She looks amazing on the pictures. I want to know why they didn't released it. I think they planned a IACBTMN,FIY and ABM single/video triology, but sth. happened (maybe BYLM was more important for them at this time).

Actually, not everyone has the right to do whatever they want with the recordings. There were agreements met within the group, and there are legal ramifications involved based on the deal made with the seller. So, the person who either sent them to someone or leaked the tracks themselves are 100% in the wrong.

So, someone posted the songs on YouTube and I find the last song to be the best for me than the other songs especially the song “Is this what i get for loving you”. Yes, her voice was amazing with the 1995 and 1996 mix on that song

 

But when i heard “Tonight I’ll see the morning with him” song. It was amazing. It’s so relaxing to listen to. I like the soft breathy voice and the harmonies of her vocals in this song. Is this an original song or a cover?

 

I like this to be release. Like now! Remaster it.
