Haha Krys! Were you on Vista before? My lappy computer is being replaced but once I get it back from service, I'm gonna put Win7 on it, unless it comes like that. They don't have the same model I bought almost 4 years ago so it was cheaper for them to just replace it with something else dunno what i'm getting yet tho.

yea i was. i upgraded from XP to Vista cuz my CS4 products were not working properly. now its smashin! im thinking of putting Windows 7 on the lappy too Vista is horrendously slow on the laptop. have any idea why? its running Vista Home Premium. my desktop runs Vista Ultimate faster than the laptop for some odd reason

I think you need to enable Active X plugin in your IE browser, or maybe you are not using IE browsing that link.

I just installed Windows 7 Ultimate over the weekend. New computer, new operating system. I actually really like it so far, though I haven't had time to test it properly. It's faster than XP or Vista, if you have proper hardware. It will take me a while to get used to the new interface and there are a couple of things that annoy me, but mostly because I was so used with XP. But I like it so far. 4 days of using it and I never had to restart the computer not even once, that's gotta be better than previous versions

i bought a new notebook and it's with window 7, althought i'm still not use to it but i am getting to use to the software and things and i think it's alot better than vista!

oke i have a problem!

 

sometimes... not all the time...

 

when my computer shuts down in sleep mode... and I wiggle the mouse to get it turned on again... my task thing disappears!

 

it only comes back, if I reboot

 

does anyone has the same problem or knows how to fix it!?!

Don't know what's causing it, but you can get that back without rebooting.

 

Press Control + Alt + Delete. and start Task Manager

Go to File - New Task

Open: explorer

That's weird cos I am using the screensaver as well, Davey but I don't seem to have the prob that you are having with 7.

yeh i used the *cough* Sherlock Holmes screensaver before and it didnt kick up a fuss

 

Davey, you can always use the rotating wallpaper feature makes staring at the desktop muuuuuuch more interesting hehehehehehe

my fav feature is the rotating wallpaper hehehe. i make them change every 30 secs. the other day my lecturer forced me to use my laptop for presentations and everybody was like "eh?! the wallpaper changes!" hahahaha

When I said 'brand', I meant the company. But yes, like Bellamy said, the motherboard driver may be an issue. My friend has an Acer and I installed 7 on his computer but seems to be working fine

 

Davey, why don't you do system restore before you installed the screensaver and see if the problem persists. If not, then re-install 7 but after backing up your files
