I just ordered a new pc for my office and the first option I clicked was the downgrade from Vista to XP... Vista just sucks... I had it on one of my 3 desktop computers at home and it didn't take long before I reformated the hard drive and installed XP Pro... Just my laptop is still running on Vista because I still hadn't the time to reformat the hard drive but when I find the time Vista must make place for good old XP Pro. Wonder what the new Windows, which will become available in 2010 will be like, hope that it's a good OS like XP pro or W2K, if it again like Vista I think i'm going to be a Mac user or take the Linux stuff or something like that. im swapping to Mac the day Microsoft says "no more updates for XP. XP is dead. use Windows 7" I haven't used vista yet...is it as bad as people say it is? yes it is... Quote

(although not quite legally ) I wonder what my employer will do in the future... They don't want to "upgrade" to Vista (some of our software doesn't run on Vista and although we have our own IT company who writes all our software and is responsible for all the computerstuff they don't seem to be in a rush to make our software compatible to Vista... And I cannot blame them for that... Vista just sucks... But XP will come to an end in 2010 I think... Unfortunately... Quote ...

A bit like Vista but maybe a bit worse. Me was a OS you best forget about. I wonder if anyone still using Me? Windows 2000 is a very stable OS, I've used it for years at home and at the office and although XP has become very stable also nothing can really beat Windows 2k...(At least for Microsoft Operation Systems, Mac and Linux are ofcourse also very stable) Quote ...

Vista has been a disaster for Microsoft. It was just a scam to get people to have to buy a new computer more memory and a faster processor. They can add this to the hated Windows Millenium (ME) that was a total failure. What I laugh at is that with Vista they were just trying to copy some nice MAC features but they did it in the wrong way. Hopefully 7 will be better. Quote

Just imagine Windows 7 being as fast and as responsive as Windows 2000 - no, not like Windows XP which after some months behaves like a hog in a stall. Vista is a typical hog, as well and on top of that doesn't have many compelling features at all. Windows 7 on the other hand promises to bring some Mac-feel into the Windows world and concentrates the changes on the User Interface which is not so unser-friendly after all.
