Bralo20 Posted August 1, 2008 at 04:09 PM Posted August 1, 2008 at 04:09 PM (edited) Good luck...I'm kinda scared, I just don't want to get caught and kicked out One thing is for sure: You won't get kicked out of the concert for taking pictures. However, depending on which camera you use they can ask you to come with the security to give up your camera (it happends when you sneak several thousands of dollars of photo equipment inside ). They will lock it untill the show has ended and then you will get it back. After they asked you to come and give up the camera you will be allowed to see the concert. I got caught about a month ago during a concert of John Fogerty and fully co-operated, talked with the security and chat a bit. My equipment was stored in a locked compartement untill the show finished and I could keep the pictures I have taken during the concert. (but just to be sure I had allready switched the memorycard while they took me apart ) If this happends, be friendly to the security and chat a bit, tell them it was a game and you lost, joke about it and fully co-operate. Tell them you don't balme them because they are doing just what they asked to do... And in the end mostly you will be allowed to have your pictures you've taken allready... However, if you are working against them and be mad about getting caught expect your memory card to be erased... Just try it and see it as a small game. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose But mostly as long as you don't use a flash when your on the frontrow and don't take pics with a professional camera he changes are great they just allow it Edited August 1, 2008 at 04:12 PM by Bralo20 Quote ...

KimboCosmo Posted August 4, 2008 at 10:37 PM Posted August 4, 2008 at 10:37 PM It depends on the venue and Celine does have a say too. KimboCosmo Posted August 5, 2008 at 12:29 AM Posted August 5, 2008 at 12:29 AM Well, I brought mine and my video camera, and you just had to check them in going through security, so when the show was over, you just went and picked them back up Some people managed to get them inside, but I'd never try anything, because they DID kick people out that they caught Quote http://img143.imageshack.us/img143/2765/48940711.png "You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep, because reality is finally better than your dreams." celine_rox Posted August 5, 2008 at 03:57 AM Posted August 5, 2008 at 03:57 AM all the other concerts allow cameras and most of the time she doesnt seem to care they should allow cameras, but why not Quote
Dionesque Posted August 5, 2008 at 02:32 PM Posted August 5, 2008 at 02:32 PM Yeah, Vegas was VERY strict. But during this world tour it's really different from place to place. I can't speak for all venues but about those I went to: usually they checked my bag/small backpack but even if they saw my camera, they didn't cared about it, because it was just a small, simple camera. I'm sure they would have an issue if I would have tried to bring a (semi-)professional camera, you know, those with huge objectives etc. Anyways, I haven't got any problems with getting in my camera but I haven't been using it every time. Amsterdam was the last concert for me where I've been taking pictures. As they usually turned out crap, I stopped trying to take pictures at any other concerts I went to. And sneaking in an audio recorder isn't hard too, as you know from my bootlegs, hehe... ;P I'm curious if it will work the same way in Canada.... CellyDee87 Posted August 6, 2008 at 05:45 AM Posted August 6, 2008 at 05:45 AM (edited) Yeah I'm also wondering what it will be like in the US, I know in Melbourne they were INCREDIBLY strict with cameras, the security was nothing like I've ever seen they were everywhere . Each time they saw a flash, they went up to the person and either removed the camera or asked them to put it in their bag. Nobody in my section (Gold Floor) even tried taking pictures, I was too scared Rene was like a couple of meters away I don't even want to try bringing a camera into LA, I'm not paying that much money to fly over and hear only "I drove all night, to get to you...." and then get whisked out Edited August 6, 2008 at 05:47 AM by Denelle Quote
KimboCosmo Posted August 7, 2008 at 12:24 AM Posted August 7, 2008 at 12:24 AM Right on Denelle LOL I might, but only after I hear other people's stories I won't be using my flash, though...no need to when she is not right in front of you, anyway. lyn Posted August 15, 2008 at 08:14 AM Posted August 15, 2008 at 08:14 AM so, a technical question for those who've used audio recorders. I've decided I want to take away something concrete from my concert experience and am in the market for a recorder, therefore, can anyone recommend one that records well when stuffed and hidden in one's pocket? mkh3482 Posted September 23, 2008 at 01:24 AM Posted September 23, 2008 at 01:24 AM I didn't have any problems getting mine in. When I went to the first one, in DC, I didn't bring it because I was afraid it would be checked and lost. Once I saw that EVERYONE had a camera, I brought it for Newark and Atlantic City and just stuffed it down the front of my pants (hey is that a camera in your pants or are you just happy to see me? ) -- the metal detectors didn't pick it up, so I figured I was good to go! Libeck528 Posted September 24, 2008 at 06:48 PM Posted September 24, 2008 at 06:48 PM Yeah I definitely recommend taking pictures from up top. Some of my best ones came from the last row! Koolan Posted September 24, 2008 at 11:10 PM Posted September 24, 2008 at 11:10 PM As I already stated, they don't care if they see a camera. They DO allow it to be used inside....stop worrying about how to hide it. lol, you're not going through an airport terminal.
