CONFIRMED: Celine WON'T be at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics

Or maybe they simply want to catch some Olympics spirit and watch a game or watch the closing ceremony.

She probably didn't want to perform because she was worried about it becoming a political thing. Would she have sung in English or French? I've heard rumors that Garou was in the opening Ceremonies (which I would have loved seeing!) but they didn't show his performance when I was watching from the US because he sang in French. I wonder if Celine had sung in French, would they have shown her performance in the US (my guess/hope is: Of course!) ?

 

I hope her presence in Vancouver now doesn't mean that the IVF didn't take.

I don't know if anyone posted this yet, but she was indeed, invited to perform, but stated she couldn't because it was the exact date of her IVF treatment. I know the latter part has already been announced and talked about, but she gave an interview to the Toronto Star that was released on the 20th stating the exact reasons why. Remember she planned to go to Disneyland in December regardless of whether the results were positive or negative...

There's no reason she couldn't take a plane trip, and then sit in a seat and watch some sports.. The Olympics is a pretty big deal to some people, maybe she or RC or Rene just really didn't want to miss it.

We saw the movie 5 times all together, it was so good. It was nice to see her face so big on the screen! Even though we knew which parts were coming up every time, it was still amazing!

i don't want to see the movie so many times that i can tell which parts are coming up. i want it to remain fresh so i won't do that. so when i get the dvd i can watchn it over and over.

political thing? Celine is an international superstar immune from those sort of thing. maybe back when she emreged out of quebec singing in english over 15 years ago, but these days she's international. did you see her singing PQTME at every country's in the world and fans are all singing along in french at Dubai, Holland, chinese, every country you can think of. its about who Celine is and what she does. no political nothing. nothing of canadian politic.

I hope this wasn't posted already, but Joannie Rochette (Bronze in Figure Skating ) from Quebec who's mom died, was contacted my Celine and Rene and she sent her flowers She spoke with her for about 5 mins on the phone SO nice of Celine to track her down Joannie said that Celine was her mom's fav singers and also one of her fav singers....She wants to skate to the song "Fly" I think the next time she skates.

Celine could be couple weeks prego. Unless doctors said otherwise, i don't think she will risk her pregnancy just to sing at the English Canadian Olympics.
