Yesterday Miss "Singing Pancake" was at German TV Show "Wetten Dass" and the song was awful.    Since she put on airs I don't like her very much.

maybe you know this is playback, too. and she hasn't sang live of any song from her new album since she started her promo. just lipsync in Germany, UK, Japan... she can't sing now. in her new album, you can hear her try to hit the notes she used to sang quite easily, but failed. they use a lot back vocals, weird arrangement to cover those parts, but you know the fact is she lost her voice. she can only whisper like a ruttish cat now.

the single debuted a 4 in uk it's a good step for her considering her 2 latest flop albums BTW it's not so much yet..in Italy the single only entered at 29 and in Holland just at 36! it's not so successful like they wanna let us understand!

I am very worried about Celine's carreer. Everybody thought that Mariah (the diva with the most #1 ) has failed, but this week her "we belong together" is #1 after 5 years. Do you believe that Celine can make another #1? Do you think that she has "failed" at Billboard's Hot 100? My opinion is that Celine can't, because pop has "died".

personal opinion: I don't think Celine need #1 single to prove herself. Celine won't record stupid song like "we belong together" and squeal like a bi**h in heat, enlarge her boobs, use computer make her as thin as Beyonce to get #1 on chart. of course, we all know sex sells. but Celine just don't need to do it.

Mariah appeals to a completely different crowd than Celine. She works her sex appeal and sings very trendy songs. Celine doesn't do that so it is a little harder for her to jump to number one on the billboard list. Celine definately has potential to do it but I would never want her to compromise who she is to do so.

 

Plus...sure Mariah as 16 number ones but do you believe she could ever sell out an entire theater night after night for several years??? Probably not.

why do you keep comparing celine to mariah ...i don't care what mariah dose. Celine is succesfull...you can see that bouth in album and ticket sales.You needn't worry about her carrer she's doing just fine.

Celine definitely leads in albums -170 million vs. Mariah's 140 million or so.

 

if they're talking album and singles sales - Madonna probably takes the lead there, seeing how she's got about ten years worth of hits more than Celine or Mariah

even in USA only, the margin between Céline and Mariah is more than 4 million. no to mention Euro. TEOM can't sell out 4 million in USA.
