Let's not worry. The show will be fantabulous and the reason she is performing the hits is because of the tour- the songs from the special will invariably be part of the tour. Admittedly I'd like some of her other 'oldies' to be performed i.e The Reason, Us, Miles To Go- this would be beautiful performed live, Water From The Moon. I am sick of the AND Medley and of course MHWGO. But heyho. I think she'll perform the majority of Taking Chances on the tour so we'll just have to wait. Fear not sweet chickens

Haber books Dion ahead of world tour

 

NEWS BRIEF: US distributor Alfred Haber Distribution has picked up a new one-hour Celine Dion special, as the songstress prepares to start a new world tour later this month.

 

The distributor has acquired international rights to Celine Dion: That's Just The Woman In Me, which airs on CBS in the US and on CTV in Canada on February 15.

 

Dion is set to begin her Taking Chances World Tour this month, after recently ending her five-year run in Las Vegas.

Yeah.. this is the same distributor who brought her other CBS specials - ANDHC, LILV...Opening Night and ATW Special (not 100% sure of this one) to the South and South East Asian markets.

 

One question, Bellamy, do China and Japan also get the airing on the day that we get or do you guys get it on a differnt date??

Oh yea yea, only my post about the choice of making The Prayer a single is off topic... - The single The Prayer is taken from the CBS TV Special 2008, and this topic is about that, and right now there isn't a topic about this single choice, and we can't make new topics all the time.

 

I didn't see you yell off topic at Bellamy, he infact posted the news about The Prayer being a single in this very thread, and he's a administrator, so...

I agree. It's SONYBMG who should stay on topic, not us.

 

And even if I didn't post about it, someone else would post it sooner or later. And if they post it as a new topic, could it be better? I'm afraid that topic would become the biggest complain and petition topic. And all those are SONYBMG's fault, not ours.

 

BTW, I think I still know how to do a mod job.

No, not for China. We always get things late, or never. AND LILV 1 hour show was just broadcasted few days ago for the first time on a local channel which not many can receive in China.

It's availaible in Canada and US, i don't know for the others country..

I was on iTunes Canada and I typed "Celine Dion Josh Groban The Prayer" and it worked.

I know most people seem upset about the decision to release The Prayer.

Personally, after Celine's duet with Josh at WCD I love the song. I think it shows off her voice incredibly.

I just wonder why they didn't release the duet from WCD. I haven't heard the CBS version but I'm sure it's equally amazing.

 

Anyway, obviously they need to work on her new image and promote her new material but if something sounds so good, why not share it?

I know the song was nominated for an Oscar but as far as I know, it wasn't a hit. Cetainly not in the UK. Where was it released originally?

 

Anyway, I for one am very happy. I just wish I could get my hands on it! How can I access iTunes Canada from France?

I think they are making this digital single available because a lot of people would want to download it after watching the special, but it's not an official single as there will be no continuous (extended, persistent, impossitive- as in really pushing it) promo for it as there would be for an actual commercial and current single. Maybe by the time the special airs in 3 days *EOM remix feat. Will.I.Am* will be available for download as well, don't you think that might be a possibility? it's just stupid... they were announcing it as the biggest album of 2008, the comeback album of celine dion,

and what did we get? Taking chances... it's almost 5 months since we had that video!!

 

and what did we get when ATW was released? 6 videos in what 3 weeks!?!

 

everybody was waiting for the new celine...

and they decide to screw it up with crappy singles, and no promotion, or videos...

 

i bet the next single would be Reveal from the One Heart cd
