Celine's comeback to Las Vegas - March 2011

Vegas Scene: Dion set to move back to Colosseum

 

Over the weekend the gossip around Vegas seemed to be all about Celine Dion and every one wanted to dish a little more info. All of it together leads to one conclusion: Celine Dion is coming back to the Colosseum at Ceasars Palace.

 

First tip came from a few workers at a local poker room who said Celine's husband Rene was seen getting cash from his safe deposit box. They heard he may have been in town for meetings about the new show and to take care of the family coming back to Vegas?

 

Several former dancers from the "A New Day" show where out at he clubs over the weekend and had some info to share as well. One said "Celine is definitely coming back!" while another said "I heard the new show will be 'Celine and the Big Band' a full band and orchestra, but not many dancers"

An anonymous tip came via email with even more details. If the email is correct it stated that Celine will start rehearsals in late November or early December of this year and if all goes as planned the show will premier on December 31, 2010 making for a great NYE in Vegas.

 

Norm in the Review Journal also remarked in his column today that Celine will be back to Vegas but provided no specific details.

OH YES Celine and the Big Band... and an orchestra ooowh how i would love that!!!

maybe Kent Nagano (or whats his last name) has something to do with that

Ok now I think the rumor is 100% true and the dates they posted are true!

 

I'm going to renew my TC membership tonight I think.

 

I hope that Ticketmaster will sell special tickets to the show, like rehearsal tickets and front row

I just called TeamCeline and the guy said that they did away with the 7 day waiting period...you are eligible to buy tickets as soon as you renew/sign-up! That's good news...that way we don't have to waste money renewing on a "rumor!"

I dont know anything about Team Celien. If i join does it mean i would get good seats are is there still no gaurentee? all i know is that ticket master doesnt get me good seats. as i said before i really do not want to fly across the globe to see a dot on the stage? I LOVE the plans for Celine with a Big Band/orchestra! Obviously they're looking at moving in a new direction for this Vegas show, which is good as they need to do something new to please us fans. Hopefully we'll see some fantastic new arrangements for her ballads! Just imagine ABM with an orchestra - it would blow the roof off the Colloseum!! Also, this would mean that all musicians will be on stage!

 

Not sure if many up-tempo songs will be performed with an orchestra, will have to see what they come up with. All I hope is that they don't replicate the AND/TCWT setlists. Rene needs to dig up the great songs that were forgotten, like You and I

 

All this Vegas news tells us that Celine has given up on baby #2, which is a shame, but after 5 attemps I doubt she would want any more stress. Celine is obviously ready to get back and have some fun!

the woman at Oprah used the same words to one of the 14 girls who are going, that there was a "glitch" and the announcement that she was going to be on Oprah wasn't true
