Javito it's not like you can't travel to Vegas and see her too. There's people from all around the world coming to see the show. Even if you don't have the means to do it there's always contests and stuff, like I said in my opinion it all has to do with the ability to dream and stay possitive and keep the faith

I just got a response from someone who is working at the Colosseum since a couple of years and who was also Production Assistant for the "A new day..." DVD. This is what she told me when I asked her about the dates on Ticketmaster:

 

Unfortunately there is no truth to this. It seems to have been a glitch in the ticketmaster system.

Not discounting your contact's validity, but that would be a VERY coincidental "glitch" with all the talk that's been going on about Céline returning. Not to mention the date would make sense for a few reasons:

• Anniversary - why not start the new show on that date?
  
• Time - It's over a year a way. This is about the time tickets usually went on sale for her shows
  

I hope your contact is wrong.

 

Edit: Changing "friend" to "contact" as the poster never stated the person was a "friend".

A glitch would not have had a whole load of organised dates. like who would of made all them up. i bet someone cocked up and realised pretty quickly and responded by taking it all down! drama!!! there was too much information with dates and such for it be a "mistake".

welp if it's true, I am going to the premiere and the next night, staying a week and going to the next weekend's shows as it will be on my birthday and the next day!! I also wondered about TeamCeline pre-sales....if 02/10 would be the pre-sale or the worldwide date to purchase. I'm excited!

I'm sorry if this has already been brought up....but I went to look into renewing my TeamCeline so I would be ready to buy tickets, and I noticed this on the description of the memebership:

 

* There is a limit of two TeamCeline concert tickets or packages per member per year

 

Has anyone else noticed this? Didn't it used to be 8? That is terrible if we get limited to 2 tickets...

 

It was a limit of 2 for the world tour and a limit of 8 for A New Day.

Considering that she will only do 75 shows a year this time, they most likey will have a lower limit than before.

 

I agree with takeacance that it was too well organized to have been a glitch.

It seems more likely that someone released info too early and is now out of a job

 

I really hope they give us enough notice this time before they put tickets on sale !!

But even Ticketmaster doesn't know whether this is a rumor or not... I think it was a serious mistake for that one who commited it... Someone must have been fired on the past hours!

I'm pretty much the biggest advocate for not remixing songs or doing new arrangements. I suppose if I had to choose between a live remix or a lipped version of the way it should be, I'd go for the remix....of course the big fans want something new but from a pure marketing standpoint, it wouldn't make sense. The primary market goes to the concert to hear the biggest hits. What they did to IA has completely changed the song. It's not even IA anymore. So by changing all those songs, you are essentially removing them from the setlist completely. Sure the lyrics are still there, but the song isn't.

I personally LOVED the new version of IA and what they did with it. the original has a "cheesy" quality to it. so i LOVED how they updated it with the club remix. i was surprisingly PLEASED with the outcome and the choreography in the taking chances show.

 

 

Okay, so by making it more acoustic that puts more of a focus on the vocals. That doesn't mean it will be more likely to be live.

 

As for making it easier, well....I just don't agree with that. Celine is a singer for god sakes. One of the best. Why should she have to be making her songs easier to perform them live?

 

The show would be 90% live if idiotic things like TC, Alone, EOM, IACBTMN, and MHWGO. None of those need to be. Look at RDMH, TSMGH, IAWM, BYLM.... those four are all harder than the five that are lipped. If she can do those four flawlessly, she can easily do those five lipped ones I just mentioned and probably the ones that actually have a logic behind the lipping.

i would rather there be NO show in LV than these same old songs

A vegas return will be amazing! It is a big disadvantage for fans that are in other countries.. or far from vegas.. but it makes perfect sense for Celine to go back to vegas.. they have a home there where RC can be homeschooled.. she can have a steady performance space.. I think it'll be just great. And it also makes perfect sense for her to go on Oprah to promote CTTEOTW and then have an announcement about the vegas return and tickets going on sale Febuary 10th.. YAY CELINE IS BACK

I would love it if it were true!!! I could go see her a couple days before my birthday!!!!!! The schedule makes sense, but I'm also surprised since she said Vegas would be a possibility, when RC has a break from school. Then again, it's not that big of a deal if she's gone for a few days at a time.

Actually the same happened with Michael Jackson the other day on ticketmaster. And he is dead. They said he would be playing in LA on valentines day, and called the event Michael Jackson with a picture of him. They forgot to say that it was a laser show or something like that. I think the Jackson fans got it worse than us!
