celínico_sin_remedio Posted June 18, 2008 at 08:08 PM Posted June 18, 2008 at 08:08 PM She should do an acoustic show... Just that voice and some pure instruments... I totally agree! That would be amazing!! Something like an MTV-Unplugged every day...and then release this album : (Most - Time in - Vegas - Unplugged) "No matter where you are, reach for your own star to realize the power of the dream" From miss Céline Dion to the world those with a will to listen, and not just hear

Bralo20 Posted June 19, 2008 at 12:55 PM Posted June 19, 2008 at 12:55 PM Oh well... that's just blah to me... Vegas again? Well if she wants stability why not do something like Cirque du Soleil? I would prefer it... But yet again, I'm happy for her personal life... not really for her professional carrer... But... who am I, after all? A New Day in Vegas was created by Franco Dragone, the man who created Cirque du Soleil. The AND show was new in the music branch so I think that a new show (hopefully again with Dragone) have a lot of chances to succeed. If (and I say IF) the new show will be created by Dragone I'm sure it will be something brand new and unseen in the music branch... I hope that an official confirmation will be announced soon ...
Celinex Posted June 19, 2008 at 01:05 PM Posted June 19, 2008 at 01:05 PM Hi.My friend who is in Las Vegas at the minute want'ed to go and see Celine Dion there. She didn't know that she had finshed there when she phoned the Colosseum to book tickets for the show. They told her that Celine would be returning next year after the world tour ends.Weather this is true or not i'm not sure but it does sound postive that Celine will return to the Colosseum in the near future.
Bellamy Posted June 20, 2008 at 03:06 AM Posted June 20, 2008 at 03:06 AM She should do an acoustic show... stevethefan Posted June 20, 2008 at 03:36 AM Posted June 20, 2008 at 03:36 AM What they are not telling you is that since Celine wants more time off during the years she may be working in LV again she's decided to do the seventy-five shows all IN A ROW...NON STOP! That way she can do the whole year's worth of shows in about two and a half months.
CellyDee87 Posted June 20, 2008 at 03:55 AM Posted June 20, 2008 at 03:55 AM She should do an acoustic show... Yes I must admit if I'm flying half way across the world to see my favourite artist I would want the extravaganza can't wait hope it's true!
Shaun Posted June 20, 2008 at 10:51 PM Posted June 20, 2008 at 10:51 PM As I've said, it's not a career move I approve of but it looks like I'll be having my holidays in Las Vegas for the next few years again then. SensationalCeline Posted June 21, 2008 at 07:01 PM Posted June 21, 2008 at 07:01 PM If she ever does return to Vegas, I need to snag the chance and go see her. As for acting, I would love it she became an actress. I think that she's a natural. I know she's very busy, but it would have been wonderful if she done a few small movies off the side. Maybe after her tour and after she fulfills her dream of another child, she will give acting a try. http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg280/spoiledrottenbrat4063/Celine%20Dion/CELINESIGGY.jpg

To be honest, AND was a different show... but not the show they told us it would be... if you know what i mean... after all it was celine singing songs, and lots of dancers and great projections on a screen...
CelineFan93 Posted June 22, 2008 at 10:30 AM Posted June 22, 2008 at 10:30 AM Oh I hope this is true! I never had the chance to see her in Vegas...but I saw her during the TC tour for the first time in May. I am only 15...so it's difficult to get there and pay for it an all but if she's doing LV my parents said they would pay for me to go as a graduating gift or a birthday gift depending on the dates. Thanks for the info!Totally excited now! LOL http://i331.photobucket.com/albums/l445/Celinefan93/starssig.jpg Cath*

superstarleash Posted June 23, 2008 at 02:39 AM Posted June 23, 2008 at 02:39 AM The thought of Celine returning to Las Vegas brings a smile to my face. I never got to see A New Day due to being too young and/or not being able to afford it. I am so depressed after having the time of my life at the tour and then realising I am not going to be able to see her for who knows how long. The prospect of her doing a series of show makes me happy because it gives me the light at the end of the tunnel, I WILL be able to see her again in the near future. I am hoping this is true. http://www.celinerific.com/Signatures/ThinkSig.jpg

Filine Posted June 23, 2008 at 11:47 AM Posted June 23, 2008 at 11:47 AM I can't believe some of you say it killed her career, or will kill her career LOL. Let's face it Céline attracks global audiences from all ages. In this day the music industry and charts are extremely narrow focused. Céline will have a hard time scoring 'hits' if the radio stations won't play her songs. If she was still building her career that would be an extremely important thing, but she set her name a long time ago. And to be honest I don't think they are still aiming for that...who's complaining when she sells five million albums without promotion? If she can still do a 120 city tour, that is 90% sold out and compete with the best of them. Céline isn't, René isn't, Sony definately isn't... I think Céline and René nailed it with A New Day... It was an amazing business venture that made so much money it makes your head spin. Three million people came to see that show and the fact that the 'underdog' Céline pulls this off makes it even more astonishing. No matter what she did in the past, no matter what she will do in the future...she succeeded in almost everything. I had no clue how she was ever going to beat her blockbuster number 1 hit 'My heart Will Go On'. It just doesn't get any better than that, it's the roof, or at least I thought it was. A New Day... beat it in my book. Even though it's hardly to compare I think she found another way to beat herself, to do even bigger and better things when I didn't think that was possible... If she's going back to Vegas...people are going to have huge expectations, but I don't think we have to worry...she'll do it AGAIN:) http://www.celinedion.nl/pics/cindy/bannerza.jpg"They call my home the land of snow, Canadian cold front movin' in"

Bralo20 Posted June 23, 2008 at 05:26 PM Posted June 23, 2008 at 05:26 PM (edited) The more I read some of the comments on the posibility that a new show will be announced soon, the more I am convinced that the comments are made by people with no knowledge at all of doing business, careerplanning, the music industry and marketing... However it could be also that some are just jelous that she will perform again in the USA and not going to tour the world (again) after the Taking Chances tour is finished... For Christ sake, a new Vegas show will NOT ruin her career... It will NOT be bye bye Céline... Au contrary, it will be another boost to her long lasting career... "A New Day" was one of the best decissions made in music history! Before Céline Dion nobody had EVER tried this before... We saw a similar thing with musicals which are also performed for years, even decades but in the music branch it was new and never seen before. A contract for 3 years was signed but due the succes of the shows an addition was made twice for another year... Near all the shows during those 5 years were completely booked in advance... Few tickets available on the nights itself were sold in no time at the office while dozens of people were waiting to buy a ticket... The AND show was something new, it wasn't just a concert like we know... It was a complete show which was also never done before... Céline Dion & Franco Dragone created a new era in the history of Las Vegas and even in the history of music! Yes, she earned a nice amount of money during those 5 years... Yes, maybe it was indeed "easy money" like stated sometime by people and fans... Also due the "AND" shows Las Vegas was given more credit then ever before... Before Céline Dion Las Vegas was famous for his casino's, some small shows like Cirque du Soleil and ofcourse it was also know for the women and the fact that prostitution is legal in Las Vegas and most of Nevada... After Céline Dion signed her contract a new wing was build to host her show at Caesar's and ticket were sold like never seen before... Céline opened a new era to Las Vegas... Since her a lot of famous artist have performed in Vegas and Vegas became also a holiday destination for families... The "City of sins" became a bit more decent then before... Although there are still a lot of "sins" in Vegas you can visit Vegas with the family. And that new era was created by the introduction of Céline Dion in Las Vegas... She still sold a lot of records while performing in Las Vegas and even created a few albums during that time. So I can really see no negative influence to her career by performing in Las Vegas... But I admit that not every fan in the world have the money to fly to Las Vegas and see her perform... Although the prices were more than fair in Vegas and hotels are rather cheap in town you still have to fly a lot of miles if you live outside the US... From my country (Belgium), tickets will vary between 5 to 700 EUR wich is a lot of money. But then again, she never let down the fans in the world. After her shows in Vegas she added a world tour which will bring her arround the world in many countries... Such a world tour is taking a lot of energy from a person... It's easier and even healthier to remain in one place during a few years then flying arround the world in about 1 year... When the second show in Vegas will be announced I think there will be indeed some negative reactions to it like we can read on this board, and honestly, I can understand it... But most of the reactions will be positive... Since it seems that only a "limited" amount of shows will be performed she will have enough sparetime to do other things she likes... Being with her family, record a new album, going on holiday, etc... Hopefully the new show will announce again a new era to the music history... It's possible if the new show is so renewing that it was never seen before... Like said before: Peforming in Vegas is performing a show, not a concert... But we will all have to wait some more to see IF the second show will indeed take place in Vegas (which is very likely since not only rumours were made about it but also sources involved with Céline, her companies and the Harrah group are saying all the same) and WHAT it will be... And HOW LONG and HOW MANY shows there will be scheduled... Céline has reached during the past years a status of a being a music legend so it is same to say that she does not have to fear for her career since it doesn't matter anymore... She reached the absolute top in the music branch and will be famous even decades after she will die (hopefully that's still long away from now). Her records will be sold regarding what she does... Ok, a difference of a few million records can be made due the fact that she may perform a new show during a couple of years but the revenue of the new show will compensate it more than enough. So in the end (and even in the beginning) a new show in Vegas will definately NOT ruin nor end her career... Just my 2 cents But maybe I see it different because I'm used to do business and negociating contracts and evaluating risks of decissions made... Although it's in a complete different branch I can understand the decissions made by Céline and her companies very well. Edited June 23, 2008 at 05:31 PM by Bralo20 ...
Bellamy Posted June 23, 2008 at 05:42 PM Posted June 23, 2008 at 05:42 PM Well said Bralo20 and Filine. I've said 99% of the negative comments come from the fans who had never seen the show. Please support the forum by ordering everything through our special Amazon.com link Click here. Thank you!
Cheerfuljane Posted June 26, 2008 at 06:21 PM Posted June 26, 2008 at 06:21 PM That`s true Bellamy. I noticed that too. Besides - how silly is it to be making these assumptions before we even know the dates and what the show will be about??
