Celine's comeback to Las Vegas - March 2011

I'm very happy for her, really actually.

 

At the same time I confess I was blind after 2002 believing she did what she wanted. I was dead wrong.

 

All the power to her commercial machine to cash in. I bet she will find true happiness in her family life, I somehow know that she will. If it's her genuine decision then let it be, she has some amazing albums left to be savoured still and no Vegas deal will brake them.

 

I'm truly happy knowing she found her life and priorities now.

I dont think so, las vegas turned her as one of the biggest performer of music history

 

and so what ? I didn't like it and that's what matters to me. She was like a robot during the Vegas gig.

It is a mistake imo. It stops her evolution as an artist. She stays there for years and years singing the same songs every night. I don't like it, it looks like a prison to me. I know that she earns many money from it and everything but it makes me sad and angry at the same time.. I hate that. I know that she takes breaks from time to time to record a new album but it's not the same.

I still can't believe people are saying Vegas was a mistake. I don't need to reiterate the statistics of people who came and saw the show, merchandise purchased etc. The fact that she raised the bar of Vegas shows and was in a whole other league of her own in comparison. She should never be mentioned as one of those performers who went off to Vegas to kill her career because she didn't.

I prefer the tour more, cos that makes Céline a lot more accessable!

 

I wouldn't mind another Vegas, I liked the 'intimacy' of the Colloseum, but it should be for a few times a year, not full time, and not another 5 year run!

 

Plus it has to be a total different show then AND! and yes that means; loose the bloody 90ies songs!!

No, no, no Céline, please don't go back to Vegas!

 

I think it would be a great mistake. Yes A New Day... was highly successful, but fans throughout the world have waited for an end to the show for so long! Most of them are enjoying Céline to be back in their country to perform her hits. Moreover, most of them barely listened to Céline on radio or even saw her on TV during those five long years...they just wish that period not to be back anymore!

The Taking Chances Tour is a success, whatever people think! So now, right after the end of the tour and maybe another hiatus for a second baby, a brand new studio album should be released. Wide audience that doesn't like Céline has much as we, forgot piece by piece how big Céline was before the Vegas run and now the Taking Chances Tour makes them remember that Céline is still the biggest singer in the world. Let's not give them the opportunity to associate once more Céline to Vegas as if it was her whole career! OK Céline may someday return to Vegas (cause of course the kind of life is easier for her than travelling the world) but now it's too early!

 

So please Céline don't end your career in Vegas like Elvis did! Give us happiness and shakings for a long time again!

I think Celine will have a break/baby, move into her new florida home, and then go to vegas in mid/late 2010 to do the new show....

 

If she does this show 'part time' like Elton, ( She could stay at her home in lake las vegas while shes scheduled to perform, then fly back to florida when shes not...).

She will have more time to do more things, whether it be family related, music related, or maybe she may even get the chance to do a movie like shes wanted to do!!

 

This is a great way I think of keeping everyone happy,lol...(or maybe i'm just being greedy,lol)

 

But who knows what is gonna happen.....

It just exciting getting this piece of news and news of when the tour is coming to a close on the same day...its like we know now when this chapter (the tour) is gonna close, but no one is sure yet, of what the next chapter will be, or if there will be one at all!!

I'd be happy if she goes back to LV on a more limited schedule in 2010. I think it would be better for her to do less shows. She's have a more balanced life, although she is a workaholic anyways. I know some people don't want this to happen, but my feeling is that if she doesn't do that in 2010 then I doubt she will be doing any big world tours for awhile anyways. So I rather have possible opportunities to see her in LV then wait ten more years for a possible tour. I doubt she would revive the same "A New Day" show. I'm sure there would be a brand new show with HOPEFULLY some different songs.

I love it! Haha you said...that's probably what Celine is thinking every night when she's about to sing those songs again. I love IACBTMN and BYLM, but I am SICK of hearing them live. I hate MHWGO..always have..always will..and I hate that she ends every show with it. Vocally, it is not that interesting, and that damn flute makes me sick!

If Celine decides to head back to Vegas I don't think she will commit herself to such a huge undertaking like AND...and if she does, well, let's hope she doesn't. Although, I can't imagine a better show than AND--it was the most amazing thing I've witnessed in my life, and for every fan who saw it, it must've had a profound effect on them.

 

As far as cutting the old songs, forget it, it will never happen. Non-fans will not tolerate paying the high ticket prices if they don't hear those songs. Omitting MHWGO... come on; as much as people say they detest that song it's the song that most people look forward to in the show (otherwise they wouldn't leave it till last).

 

I say a limited engagement Vegas show (not tied down with a million year contract) would be a fine choice. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. If Celine does have another child her priorities will change indefinitely.
