stevethefan Posted August 30, 2008 at 01:41 AM Posted August 30, 2008 at 01:41 AM Like some others have said I would look forward to the day when Celine would consider doing a show that was more stripped down, with less the big production aspect and focus more on the music. I still love her current show but it would be nice to see something more intimate. I think she won't be any big tours for at least a few years, if not longer. This tour is a lot harder than Vegas because she is constantly traveling and every few days she is in a new city. Living in Vegas was hard because of the dry air, but people forget that constant travel is highly stressful and airplanes are an extremely dry environment. And she does not have the advantage as she once said of "resting her head on the same pillow every night." The positive side of this tour is that she is able to do it with her family which I'm sure had been great for her.
Prince Whiskers Posted August 30, 2008 at 10:49 AM Posted August 30, 2008 at 10:49 AM So, I don't think we should speculate anymore about that, René didn't know now when and if they will accept THIS offer because their most important project is the baby but they will know if it works pretty soon in March probably. But he was very positive about Céline NOT doing a permanent show anymore in Vegas, not moving there and that it would not be the same kind of deal(meaning not for a long time neither).I hope so since her planned classical training will be very demanding. http://cdn.webecoist.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/modern-pet-solo-blown-glass.jpg
whineupemily Posted September 2, 2008 at 03:27 AM Posted September 2, 2008 at 03:27 AM I really have mixed feelings about her returning to Las Vegas, great idea, but some risks.New York would be a great place. What i pretty much want right now for her is just to have a fantastic break, maybe extend her family, and i mean just maybe think about doing a couple shows; maybe NY. Because i know after this tour, im going to miss the thought of being able to go see her, and the thrill of waiting till that one day comes to hear her voice!
Ronny83 Posted September 11, 2008 at 07:53 PM Posted September 11, 2008 at 07:53 PM September 10, 2008 · 2:24 PMExecutives pencil in possible date for Celine Dion’s triumphant return By Robin Leach We’re moving closer day-by-day to the possible return of Celine Dion to her Caesars Palace "home." It's highly probable that Celine will take over the vacated dates when Sir Elton John plays out his scheduled contract run of concerts. Sir Elton, who will play the Colosseum from Oct. 22 through Nov. 9 then has two more near month-long show sets in the early part of the new year. Depending when his shows and co-headliners Cher and Bette Midler pencil in their dates, it should be late fall when Celine could make the return move back here -- or if she takes a full-year break as she’s always threatened to do then it would be early 2010. But the executives have sharpened pencils poised trying to juggle it all out on the schedules so we will wind up with the three top divas: Bette, Celine and Cher -- and that’s alphabetical order folks, so no complaints, eh?http://www.lasvegasweekly.com/blogs/luxe-l...ne-dions-trium/ The Celine Dion Italian fanbase - CelineDionItalia.com
Shamrock_1982 Posted September 11, 2008 at 08:01 PM Posted September 11, 2008 at 08:01 PM (edited) She will return in mid/late 2010, as I said We just have to wait to hear the exact time frame, from Rene/Caesars! I can't wait for the official press conference to announce more details, although it will obviously be mid/late 2009..... Darren. Edited September 11, 2008 at 08:02 PM by Ire23

Nmj Posted September 18, 2008 at 09:13 PM Posted September 18, 2008 at 09:13 PM just imagine a new show with new songs If i were Celine i would have a break and baby come back when i was ready with a new album and PROMOTE it and then head back to Vegas on her own terms maybe just one year and do a show maybe bigger than AND
Black Kitten Posted September 19, 2008 at 01:32 AM Posted September 19, 2008 at 01:32 AM do you believe in "SOPHOMORE JINX"?
stevethefan Posted September 19, 2008 at 04:00 AM Posted September 19, 2008 at 04:00 AM I think I now have mixed feelings about this. At one time I really wanted her to come back to Vegas, but now I think I would only like it if it was for a shorter duration. I can't imagine her wanting to sign on to any long term deal there. I have a feeling that if she decides to do this again that she won't do as many shows per year. I think it would be more the way that Elton John did it where it would only be for part of the year. I still think she should take a two year break after the TC tour.
autumnskies00 Posted September 19, 2008 at 04:47 AM Posted September 19, 2008 at 04:47 AM I sure hope she has another baby! I'm not so sure about how I feel about LV. Its sooo far from me! lol. Now what she should do, is bring that show on over to the east coast! http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b213/autumnskies00/siggy1-2.jpg
sceavis Posted September 19, 2008 at 05:05 PM Posted September 19, 2008 at 05:05 PM I sure hope she has another baby! I'm not so sure about how I feel about LV. Its sooo far from me! lol. Now what she should do, is bring that show on over to the east coast! I agree I would love her back in Vegas she needs to have the baby then come back and do what Elton did.It would be great for a return to thr east coast start in Boston finish in Boston It is only her lucky city.
Javier_Natalio Posted September 19, 2008 at 05:44 PM Posted September 19, 2008 at 05:44 PM I hope she gets pregnant right after this tour ends. Especially because we all know that's what she wants. Then Vegas? Humm, well, if it's for a really short stint, then yes. In 2003 she was fresh out of ANDHC, really popular, good new songs and all, with IDAN, I Surrender, ANDHC, I'm Alive plus the old songs didn't seem so old... now the old songs are really old, and adding Taking Chances, Alone, and My Love doesn't seem like enough to me. Will they pull a OH again and release an album just for the sake of promoting Vegas? I.just.don't.know.
disadiva Posted September 19, 2008 at 06:05 PM Posted September 19, 2008 at 06:05 PM I really hope she will return to the Colosseum again cause i want to see her there in Vegas... http://i46.tinypic.com/2nvtcpl.jpg
celine4evauk Posted September 19, 2008 at 06:22 PM Posted September 19, 2008 at 06:22 PM If she goes back i hope that if it is for over a year then i hope she does fewer shows per year than AND. Also, i'm hoping that'll mean there's more of a chance that her "real fans" will be in the audience, and not the boring "i'm gonna sit in my seat the whole time" kind of crowd i witnessed back in 2004!!! At the end of the day - if Celine's happy with whatever decision it is, then so am i!!
kathy4 Posted September 19, 2008 at 06:31 PM Posted September 19, 2008 at 06:31 PM if she returns to vegas will it be a whole new show or will it be the show that she is doing now? http://i425.photobucket.com/albums/pp339/Mia_84/Tumlum/Perfume/celine-dion-chic.jpg
WallsDoTalk Posted September 19, 2008 at 07:17 PM Posted September 19, 2008 at 07:17 PM I hope she leaves Vegas to when she's 50...like Cher, Midler or StreisandIt's for stars that are almost retired...not stars who are supposed to Take Chances...
Nmj Posted September 19, 2008 at 09:15 PM Posted September 19, 2008 at 09:15 PM (edited) what are talking about EVERYONE takes chances in VEGAS of all places. I think that show there could work maybe 3 days a week with a sex appeal theme to it. Bette Midler already ruined the stage so they should change up the stage a little; like the Tour stage know a little bit with some elevators and other high quality tecnology imagine her singing songs with a certain sex appeal like : Naked, Eyes On Me, Fade Away, Stand by your side, Cant Fight the Feelin, Alone, Thats the way it is, Let your heart decide, When the Wrong Loves You Right, One Heart. and other great Celine songs. But i think that she needs a new Album with about ten songs from the new album performed in her new concert in vegas if she goes, and maybe let some of the old hits rest and only sing the ones that she must like BYLM and MHWGO but get rid of TLYM, IDAN, IACBTMN, TPOL or if she must perform them, then change up the arrangement .ie. making TPOL a ROCK ballad with guitars. I Think that she has so much potential to make a second show in vegas even more sucessful then the first, I really do. but it has to have the right theme and songs, outfits, dancers, and the right vibe in the right envirenment Enough of my babbling i see alot of great possibilites-Nmj Edited September 19, 2008 at 09:21 PM by Nmj
celinefanonline Posted September 19, 2008 at 10:34 PM Posted September 19, 2008 at 10:34 PM i would say baby first... other wise it would be getting a bit late for Celine.... i know her mother gave birth to her like 40something but still it's a bit late.. lol... and like anewdayhascome said i dont' mind about vegas.. but not that soon..... also what about the opera project... cause i'm thinking like she can train abit for it in her break.. (i know it's break but still) Courage don't you dare fail me now!
Nmj Posted September 19, 2008 at 11:06 PM Posted September 19, 2008 at 11:06 PM I'm hoping the Oprea project does not happen, BREAK- BABY- ALBUM-VEGAS -Nmj
idroveallnight Posted September 20, 2008 at 03:53 AM Posted September 20, 2008 at 03:53 AM I suggest just doing a few Vegas shows a year. Maybe a limited engagement of 2-4 shows per year like Jerry Seinfeld does at the Colosseum. And these shows should be exclusively for forum members. I think the roof would definitely be blown off on those nights. As for the concept, that's a bit tricky. I can't imagine anything topping A New Day (except this tour, of course).
