I don't want her to do another Vegas show ..

I think the show indeed changed her.

When I look back at the concerts of Au Coeur Du Stade and Live in Memphis,

she is much more funny and more the talking Celine we knew.

The Taking Chances show was great and I was very happy to see her live for the first time.

But I missed the talking and the goofy way she sometimes behaves.

Some concerts in the tour got the more relaxed and funny Celine,

and she sang great and the concert was amazing..but.. Celine looked more mature,

didn't talk much and it seemed like a routine for her ( the way she does when she hits the high note,

as if she gives herself applause) And that is all because of being on stage same show every night 5 days a week.

It becomes a routine. That does not mean she can still enjoy doing it, but the real emotion disappears.

Except My Love which she sang, in my opinion, in Amsterdam with the best emotion and best voice she could give.

Reason we heard so many Old songs can be also because the tour started not long ago after the ending of AND.

So when you haven't sang a lot of other songs for a long time, you have to rehearse them over and over again,

so you don't forget the words. In Africa she sang ANDHC but forgot some words. And to be on the safe side again,

I think that is the reason it was dropped. So what I am saying here - she had not enough time to rehearse other great songs,

So if she would go back to Vegas, which I don't hope she does, if I were Celine, I would be tired of singing the same material over and over again, or even miming those songs over and over again. So she must take her time, have a baby and think about doing such a show, if she wants that, and make a complete new tracklist, with maybe a few oldies and a lot of material from her older albums, with so many songs to sing live. And she should record new albums, promote them in the best way she can. And maybe after a few years do a worldtour again with a refreshing songlist and some oldies in a new fresh version.

Celine is a legend and when she sings new songs she is still great to listen at. No matter what she sings.

She must take the risk of something completely new, see how the audience reacts, bring something fresh.

I have been to Madonna twice, and although I am not a Madonna fan, she can reinvent her songs very good

and she sings a lot of her new stuff, not only the hitsingles, and the general public including the fans, still come to her

because it is Madonna. Celine is not madonna, but she has a great reputation too! She is known for her great majestic voice.

She is one of the great singers if not Diva's we have in the world. People will still come to see her live.

So she just needs to do something new,and we''ll see how that works out. The money should not be any issue because she has tons of money to spend and if she wanted to, she can already retire!

I have never had the feeling to go to Vegas. Although it was a great show.

I like just Celine,maybe a few dancers. In a setting like Taking Chances Tour is allright for me,

and it still is amazing that way.

But We can speculate how long we want and blame Rene or Celine whatever.. we don't have any chance to change the future or any thing Celine is going to do in the upcoming years. But I will stay fan, whatever she does, and i will buy her albums and dvd's and I certainly hope to see her live once more ( even if it takes another 5 or more years..ouch)

I'd love for Celine to go back to LV - it means i get a holiday abroad!!!! It would probably be - as said before- taking over from Elton. Don't you think if she does less shows there's more chance the place will be filled with true fans??!! She'd love performing at them!!!!

Personally i really hope its not too soon - baby born very late this year or early next year. Hope she has a few months at least to be at home before going into rehearsals etc.

As for baby name - it'll probably have some sort of connection with either Celine's family or Rene's. Maybe named after her father/mother - or maybe even Karine???

i agree!! her Vegas show was always sold out not only from us huuge, devoted fans, but also tourists & people curious about her show especially since she was in one place & not travelling around the world. i think if she has a new smaller vegas show, it will be filled with more true, & crazy forum fans haha because...idk why really, lol! anyway...

i hope the babys not too soon either! she needs a break!.. i also agree with the baby names- if its another boy, i think she'll name it after her father; if its a girl, i think she'll name it after her mom or Karine. i am so excited for Celine's future! however, i'm also kinda nervous & sad because we never know what might happen.. if she chooses to retire i'll be so sad, but definitely content with the fact that i saw her live, even if it was just once =]

I totally agree, but with the odd special effect/amazing background props also, but it has to have an amazing opening/start, being Celine and being in Vegas. As I said before maybe she could sing ''if i can dream'' with a state of the art Elvis hologram next to her....

75 shows a year in Vegas would give her space to do other stuff and still get her rest. I don't mind her going back to Vegas but I really hope she finds herself a challenge artistically and musically. She really needs to dig into her diversity we all know she can sing anything...really really surprise us, Céline. Shake off the image and do what you like most! (Just don't dye your hair blonde again, any other colour would be fine

)

Totally agree - I'd love her to have a more intimate setting. Where she can sit and talk to the audience if she wants - relax and not worry about spending too much time talking :giggle: I'd love to hear songs like Send Me A Lover or Here There and Everywhere. Beautiful songs that show off her natural voice.

I'd love to here Calling You - totally forgotten about that song and the reference to Vegas :laugh:

I vote for a new Vegas show + a new album - this time REALLY TAKING CHANCES AND HAVING MORE INPUT (perhaps writing a song). :thumbsup2: Obviously after a very long break. :yes:

Well, Elton John's show will be concluding in April of this year so that will leave much more room for Cher and Bette to play. However, this will only go on for so long. All signs are definately pointing to Celine coming back. It will be interesting to see if it will be an A New Day...Part II sort of show, or a more scaled back Celinefest!

I want her and the musicians to take time to sing the songs, and sing FULL songs!! not the edited crap that seems popular since 2003 :nono: of course there needs to be a 'show' spectacle to it, but I want something like; 'They knew the singer; now they'll meet the person' :wub2:

Yeah after a long break do be with RC and enjoy the new home.

As far as songs - i would love to see new ones in the show as well as some from Taking Chances. I still love some of the other older songs like IDAN and AND but remix them up allow us to see a new side of Celine. Oh and the elvis idea is GREAT idea doing some new duets would just rock. ( I wish i could design the show now! ) -wishful thinking..

P.S. Celine- PLEASE dont do the old do again EVER AGAIN! Any color would be just fine.

I totally, 100% agree. I don't want an A New Day...Part II. Maybe a few MINOR theatrical elements, but nothing that's going to overshadow Céline. I would like to see a Célinefest with older songs, classics reworked a tiny bit, and maybe one or two songs that were specifically written FOR the show.

It will start from fall in 2010 if the IVF doesn't work, or it will wait a bit.

She'll be implanted at the end of march.

Dans une entrevue exclusive au Journal de Québec, René Angélil nous en a lui-même évoqué la possibilité. «Oui il y a des discussions en cours avec la direction du Caesar’s Palace qui aimerait bien ravoir Céline. Mais nous avons immédiatement imposé une exigence: Céline devra réduire le nombre de représentations.»

En cinq ans, la chanteuse a offert près de 700 représentations dans une salle du réputé Caesar’s Palace spécialement aménagée pour le spectacle A New Day. Elle réduirait sa cadence de moitié avec tout au plus 70 représentations par année.

René Angélil a encore en mémoire le succès sans précédent du spectacle, mais aussi les moments difficiles qu’a dû vivre sa protégée sur cette «terrible» scène offrant une forte pente. «Céline en a beaucoup souffert, mais aussi nos danseurs, dont plusieurs se sont blessés. Il fallait prévoir cinq ou six danseurs supplémentaires tous les soirs.»

Depuis, la scène a retrouvé sa forme aplatie pour les spectacles de Cher et d’Elton John.

Le retour de Céline à Las Vegas est prévu à l’automne 2010.

Sorry. There is no second time. They only have one embryo left. Obviously Celine wants her own child, or she could adopt one long time ago. No to mention she already has RC, why would she want to adopt another? I don't think blame everything to Rene is fair. Celine is not a doll.

They made the embryo before Rene's cancer treatment. They probably knew they can't make another embryo after that. If she wants to adopt, why would she try embryo again and again, adopt is much easier.

Exactly Bellamy! People are so quick to blame everything from Sony to Reney they tend to forget Celine DOES have a say in the decisions in her life! I hope that Celine's wishes come true.

I'm sure rené isn't totally infirtle after the cancer treatment. well she wants to try that first for the obvious reason; she wants a baby from herself and rené. so if that doesn't work out, they could adopt....

but this thread is about vegas innit? joy to the world, céline doesn't retire. she'll be back in vegas... again... yay :yahoo: (and yes that is sarcastic :glare: )

Thank Mother Hubbard that it's ONLY 70 shows a year! At least Céline won't hate her life and will have time to do other ambitions projects, if she chooses to. I also imagine that the ticket prices will be higher, because it will be a rarer happening.

By the way, the article isn't negative. The title is "Pregnant or Vegas". Nowhere is René quoted in saying that it's either "Baby" or "Vegas" either.

When you think about it, 70 shows is NOT a lot of shows. There's about 5.83 shows a month! I think Celine could handle being a new mother, recording a brilliant French album, and do these songs without getting too stressed.
